The moon was beginning to set, its otherworldly silver glow illumination from the West, no longer over head. It was getting really late, so late that it almost was early. The two boys sat in silence next to each other. Only one question has been answered that night, and that was the question of how Draco had become what he had become. Afterwards, they ah sat in silence, close enough to feel each other's presences, but no touching. It was Harry who broke the silence.

"We should go. We can't stay here forever."

Draco nodded. "Yeah, and as much as I want someone to notice, I also don't want to draw attention to us."

In that moment, Harry wasn't sure what that meant, but he would definitely come to understand it. Harry stood silently, leaning back against the cold stone walls of the pinnacle of Hogwarts, the top of the Astronomy tower.

"We need to talk again soon. And you have to promise not to tell anyone."

Draco nodded. Harry held out a hand and grasped Draco, pulling him up. They shook on it. A promise. They stood their, grasping hands, even after they had shaken hands. Harry noticed the very, very mild flecks of pale green in Draco's eyes. They leaned close, but soon recoiled. They couldn't.

Walking their separate ways, Harry pulled his Invisibility Cloak on and sat behind a large stone vase on a pedestal, the vase that Peeves often tried to drop on unwary passersby. He knew that he should make it make to the common room before someone (Hermione) noticed and began to question him. But he needed to pause. He tried to relive the moment before they both descended the spiral stairs of the Astronomy Tower. The emotion in that moment had been... pure. He had never felt anything like it, but that was a fleeting moment and a sense of something forbidden had replaced it. He didn't know how he could describe it other than that. He stood and walked back to his dormitory.

"Harry, you look tired, did you get any sleep last night?" Hermione was acting as if she hadn't sent Harry up to the Astronomy Tower the night before. The act was for Ron of course.

Harry nodded. "I'm fine, Hermione."

"Yeah, just drop it, Hermione, he's fine." Ron swallowed a large piece of toast, nearly choking. Harry thumped him on the back. "I'm fine," Ron added.

Hermione sighed, grabbing her bag. I'll be in the library, she glared pointedly at Harry.

"I got to go too," Harry said and Ron shrugged in reply.

Harry ran down the corridor, finding Hermione.

"Hermione, what is happening?"

She turned to face him. "You know what's happening."

He had to play his part. "No, and why did you send me to the Astronomy Tower and never turn up?"

She glared at him suspiciously. "Dr- someone was supposed to be there."

Harry glared back. "Well, no one was there." He turned and walked back down the hallway, leaving Hermione there, a Hermione who was determined to find out what had happened between him and Draco.

A/N: I'm thinking about changing the title. Maybe to Forbidden or something similar, I'm not sure, but it'd be great if you could comment your ideas or thoughts on a new name.
