Liam's POV

'Who ever told you I was letting go

Of the only joy that I have ever known'

Spending the day with Isabella at the amusement park was great, but as it got later I knew we'd have to leave. And I was dreading it to say the least. We'd been hanging out as friends and it was all good fun, but it was killing me. Every now and then I wanted to just wrap my arms around her or kiss her, but I couldn't. And as we got off the Ferris wheel for the third time that day, I really wanted to kiss her but I resisted the urge.

"Leeyum we havta go" Zayn reminded me.

 "Bye Isabella"

"Bye Woody" she wrapped her arms around my neck and held on like she'd never let go. She was looking right into my eyes when she pulled away and before I could even think, I felt her lips crashing into mine. She pulled away after a few seconds, a little shy so I pulled her in and wrapped my arms around her.

"I'm sorry" she whispered but I just held her even tighter. I knew why she'd pushed me away and understood completely.

"I have to go now, but I'll call you okay?" I said holding both her hands in mine.

 "Ok" she nodded.

"I love you babe" I kissed her softly on the lips and then I had to go.

Isabella's POV

Liam Payne Spotted Kissing Girlfriend Isabella Scott at Ferris wheel.

I could see the headlines already, but I didn't really care. Maybe it was selfish of me to want him back, but I needed him. No matter how much I tried pushing him away I just couldn't. Without him I'm weaker just like it says in the song. I knew I had to say goodbye to him and head back to the hospital the next day, but somehow I was okay with that.

*********

I woke up early the next morning just so I could Skype Liam. We'd been chatting as soon as we left the amusement park. And it was like we'd never broken up in the first place. Well, to be fair, we'd only been apart for like two weeks. Two gruelling weeks that is.

I finished Skyping Liam and then went downstairs for one of aunt May's legendary breakfasts. She'd made everything from bacon and eggs, to hash browns, sausages and toast.

"You cooked to feed an army" I joked biting down on a piece of crispy bacon.

"Well that friend of yours does have an appetite, doesn't he?"

 "Speaking of, where is he?"

"He went out to the shop"

"Why would he do that?" I asked gesturing to all the food in front of us.

"Something was missing" she winked and handed me a glass of water that was half full. I can't really have loads of liquids cause of the state of my kidney's.

"Here I got them" Gerard announced coming into the kitchen out of breath with a bouquet of flowers in his hand.

 "Mornin Gerry"

"Oh you're up" he seemed disappointed. He handed the bouquet to Aunty May, who immediately put it into a vase she already had half filled with water. And the she set it down in the centre of the table.

"That'll do it" she looked at her work satisfied. You guys, you didn't have to do this" I looked from Gerard to my aunty.

"Do you like the flowers?" Gerry asked pulling up a chair beside me.

 "Course, they're beautiful"

He seemed happy to hear that and his face lit up as he reached for the bacon. We chatted while we ate and when we were done I offered to help with the dishes. Aunt May refused, but I insisted and she eventually gave in when I said how it'd be some bonding time.

"Okay Aunty May, you have to be honest with me" I said handing her a soapy plate to be rinsed.

"What is it, love?" she seemed eager to tell me whatever I needed to know.

"Why all this?" I asked simply.

"Oh child..." she sighed and then began, "I wanted to treat you to a good home cooked meal, since we don't know when you'll be home again" she made a point not to look at me the whole time.

"If I come home..." I mumbled under my breath.

"No child, don't be speaking that way"

"It is what you were thinking" I shot back a lot sharper than I'd intended.

"Oh you'll come home, believe me" she smiled and it was really sincere.

"How do you know?" I asked not convinced.

"Cause you have too many people that love you too much" she winked and then planted a soft kiss on my cheek.
