Ashton woke slowly, his soft lashes fluttering as he opened his eyes. It revealed drowsy hazel eyes with green undertones that became more apparent as he became aware of his surroundings. Michael, Calum, and Luke were all cuddled around him, their breaths softly hitting his bare skin. The extreme body heat had become unbearably warm, and the boys had all removed their shirts at some point throughout the night.
Ashton slowly disentangled himself from the boys, glancing at the clock. There was still time for breakfast if they dressed quickly, and the ballerina grabbed a soft shirt from the floor. He slid into it, making it obvious that the loose blue top belonged to one of the taller boys. It hung just past his bum, and Ashton took the chance to free himself from the tight black jeans that were starting to cut off circulation. He shook out his long legs, doing a few stretches to get the blood flowing.
"This is something I could wake up to more often," Michael commented drowsily, as he woke up to see Ashton in just an oversized shirt and pink lemonade-coloured panties. "Mornin' princess," he tacked on, jostling the other two boys awake as he stood.
Ashton blushed brightly. "Hi," he giggled. Michael walked to his side, kissing the boy's cheek.
"The bathroom is just down the hall," the pale teenager said, rummaging through his desk until he found a unused toothbrush that was still in the package. "We'll get dressed and meet you there in a second," he promised, absentmindedly tugging Ashton's borrowed shirt down. "Don't let anyone see those pretty panties but us," he teased. Ashton giggled and nodded, before pulling on loose pink sneakers and scampering down the short hall to the washroom.
There were two students already there, one brushing his teeth and the other styling his hair, and they glanced up as the ballerina entered. Ashton walked to stand by a third sink, and started brushing his bright teeth. "Michael, Calum, and Luke's... friend, yeah?" the second one asked, squinting at his dark brunette hair in the mirror before deeming it good enough. Ashton nodded. "Nice shirt." The boy started putting black earrings in, and Ashton blushed slightly. "Do you actually like Michael and Luke and Calum?" Ashton tilted his head slightly, confusion clear on his face and light curls bobbing. "If you're just a fuck-boy who wants to brag about fucking three guys at once—"
Michael, Luke, and Calum entered before the boy could finish his threat. "Are you interrogating our date again?" Michael asked, doing a handshake-hug thing with the tanned boy. "Leave Ashy alone," he said lightly, wrapping an arm around Ashton and kissing the older boy's cheek. Luke used his longer stride to get to the blonde boy's other side, and Calum stood with his chin on the ballerina's bony shoulder. Ashton relaxed under their touch, a small smile forming on his face.
Upon seeing that, the dark-haired boy held out his hand to shake Ashton's. "I'm Zayn," he said, smiling warmly.
"My overprotective friend," Michael added. "I'll see ya later, Zayn." The pale boy waved as he and the other three boys left, heading for the cafeteria with Calum, Luke, and Michael holding Ashton's borrowed shirt down. Though it wasn't really necessary, it gave the boys an excuse to put their hands on the ballerina's pretty tanned thighs.
"Shouldn't I change?" Ashton murmured, looking down at his bare legs.
"It's early," Luke responded. "And you look adorable," he added, dropping a soft kiss on Ashton's cheek. The shorter blonde nodded unsurely as they entered the cafeteria. They walked towards their usual table, and Ashton sat carefully.
"Dibs out getting food," Calum yelped suddenly, and Michael followed up quickly. Luke pouted, sticking his tongue out at the other two.
"It's like trying to listen from the top of a mountain," he complained. Ashton started to offer to get the food, but Michael fondly shushed the boy before he could.
"Off you go, you lanky blonde giant," Calum said, in sync with Michael (fondly) telling Luke to shut up. The artist nodded, standing and loping towards the counter. Ashton giggled at the sight of matching, neon blue handprints on the backs of his thighs. How Luke had managed to cover both of his hands with paint and then get it on his jeans, the boys didn't know.
He returned after just a few minutes, somehow managing to balance four trays. The artist slid them across the table, pouting dramatically at the specialised meals that Calum and Ashton received. "How do you eat that?" he asked, but spoke again before either of the athletic boys could reply. "Anyways, Ashy, have you started practicing for the showcase? What are you doing in it? Madame Gerais wants me to paint some of the sets, and Michael's part of the geek squad."
The showcase was an annual event at AAG, where all the students got a chance to show off their talent. It also gave the students a week off from regular classes so that they could focus solely on their major.
"That's not what it's called," Michael mumbled in reference to the "geek squad," but he didn't sound at all bothered. Although that could've been due to the fact that Ashton had starting playing with the pale boy's soft fingers, distractedly tracing shapes as Luke rambled.
"Michael's part of the nerd herd," the lanky artist corrected, deserving a soft giggle from Calum that made it clear that Luke was still wrong. "Anyways, Ballerina Boy, what's your part in the ballet showcase?"
"I'm one of the lead dancers," Ashton said, smiling with a hint of pride. He switched the topic away from himself quickly though, all too kind to hog all the attention. "Cal, there's a big game for the soccer students, right?"
"Yeah," the footballer agreed, his dark brown eyes lighting up. "We play against the Snakes every year, from Australia Sports Academy. They're the reigning champs."
"Not as bad as the Dingos," Michael spoke up. "Dingo Academy is mainly for the tech kids, like me," he explained to Ashton, before continuing. "They always beat us in the short film competition; last year it was a 0.4 difference in points!"
"But no one can beat Luke," Calum said, kissing his lanky boyfriend's cheek.
"He's the best artist in Aus," Michael boasted.
Luke rolled his eyes. "One of the best," he corrected, which was modest for someone with his ability.
"Stop lying," Calum said, his comment in sync with Michael gently punching Luke's pale arm. Ashton just giggled innocently.
