"They posted the trip destination!"
Ashton giggled and gasped as Calum slung the older boy over his shoulders, shouting happily. The ballerina adjusted himself so that he was comfortably piggybacking Calum, and Michael did the same on Luke's back. The four boys exited the ballet rehearsal room—from which Cal, Mikey, and Luke had picked up Ashton—and joined the sea of students that filled the hallway. All the prodigies moved in the same direction, like a wave ripping through the ocean.
The four boys let it carry them, their doubled heights making it easy to stick together. Eventually, they reached the large board where the destination was posted. A piece of paper was pinned up, reading PARIS in bold lettering. There was a message with the date, the maximum weight for suitcases, and a warning to pack for the weather. "Want to all pack together?" Ashton offered. The other three agreed easily, and the four boys rejoined the swarm of people in the hall. As they headed to Ashton's dorm, the three younger boys each stopped at their rooms, emptying their closets into their arms and walking blindly through the school.
The three teenagers dropped their stuff on Ashton's floor as they entered, and Ash was quick to pick up Moondust before the fluffy rabbit was covered by a mountain of clothes. "Hey, buddy," the ballerina cooed, giggling when Moondust licked his nose. Though Moondust, like most rabbits, didn't like heights, Ashton held the bunny against his chest so that Moondust barely noticed how far he was from the floor. "Are you excited to stay with Mum, Harry, and Lauren?" the blonde boy asked, speaking with a high-pitched voice that made his accent sound even thicker. The two younger Irwins had fallen in love with Moondust when they'd visited the week before.
Michael, Calum, and Luke had to resist the urge to coo over the ballerina as he baby-talked to his bunny. Ashton blushed as he glanced up to see three sets of fond eyes watching him. "Sorry," he giggled, kissing the rabbit's head before he placed Moondust next to his cage. The top of the cage had been removed so that Moondust could comfortably wander around in Ashton's room.
A while past, with the boys locating suitcases and starting to fill them with clothing whilst chatting. "This is impossible," Luke announced suddenly, from where he was using a scale he'd somehow located to measure the weight of his clothes. "How is anyone supposed to pack a suitcase for seven days that doesn't weigh more than...." He trailed off as he recklessly dug into his pile of clothes to find the piece of paper on which he'd written the maximum suitcase weight.
"Yeah, but you're also a foot taller than most of the students at this school," Michael reminded. "Your clothes are gigantic." Luke looked surprised as if he hadn't noticed the massive height difference between him and most of the rest of the world.
The four teenagers packed and passed around the scale for awhile, Fall Out Boy playing from Ashton's speakers as they chatted softly. The boys giggled at the sight of Luke's paint-stained clothes and cooed over how much pink Ashton owned. "Favourite colour," he'd admitted with a giggle. Somehow, after Moondust had shed all over every article of clothing in the room, the topic of sex came up.
"Ashy," Calum had started, being the bluntest of the four. "You know how Paris is the city of love?" Ashton nodded from behind a stack of fluffy sweaters and an even larger pile of black skinny jeans. "Don't you think it's the perfect place to—oh, I don't know—lose your virginity?" Ashton's face flamed a bright reddish-pink, dusting his cheeks and creeping down his slender neck.
There was a long pause before the ballerina spoke. "Maybe," he eventually said, fiddling absentmindedly with the loose sleeve of his fuzzy maroon sweater. He wore black leggings underneath it.
"We love you," Luke promised. Michael and Calum both said words of agreement. There was another long pause before Ashton spoke.
"Maybe," he repeated. "But we have to get condoms and go to the clinic to get tested," he added. The other three prodigies nodded, before crowding around Ashton for a group hug. The curly-haired boy rested his head against Michael's shoulders and wrapped his arms around Luke and Calum.
Unfortunately, they took a small step to the left and Luke's foot got caught on a black pair of jeans, one pair of many. He tripped and collapsed, long legs flying out and accidentally kicking the feet out from beneath his best friends/boyfriends. There was a loud crash as clothes flew everywhere and four lanky teenagers hit the ground. "Uh oh," Ashton giggled, as he looked at the many identical pairs of black jeans. "How do we tell them apart?"
"Fuck," Michael said, laughing as he held up a pair of black skinnies. "I guess just pack whichever and we'll trade if we have to," he suggested, folding the jeans and placing them in his black suitcase. Ashton, Calum, and Luke shrugged and nodded, before struggling to their feet. The clothes cascaded under their hands and feet. It reminded Ashton of when he used to help Harry and Lauren dig holes in the sand, and the sides would collapse and fill the hole faster than they could empty it.
Calum suddenly noticed a pair of lacy red underwear that'd made its way into his general vicinity. "Ooh, Ballerina Boy, these are definitely a yes," he said, waggling his eyebrows. Ashton's cheeks flushed to match the colour of the panties.
