Malaysia and I were walking side by side out of the school doors, and scattered to our different cars. I placed my bag in the trunk and closed it, only to be surrounded and closed in my DeAngelo and his idiotic friends.
"Can I help you all?" I asked raising my eyebrow.
"Actually you can. I'm throwing this little party tonight and I want you to come." DeAngelo offered smoking. He bet not have no funny ideas in his head.
"And it took all of you to ask me that?" He shrugged and looked at then all nodding.
"I'm not a huge party person. I don't like being social with large groups." I stated folding my arms. I would love to go to a party, but I just can't. That's be bad on my name and my father's. The Preacher's Daughter at a wild underage party.
"Look, it's small okay. Like 15 people maybe less. It's like a kickback. You'll know me and Malaysia will be there. Kai invited her and she accepted." I rolled my eyes.
"So because Malaysia goes, you think I'll just up and go?" I asked smiling.
"Nah, not like that. I just thought you'd be comfortable if she went." I nodded.
"I'll think about it. I'll let Malaysia know if I'm going." He nodded, but then turned around again.
"How about I give you my number and you tell me whether or not your going. I would wanna know more than she would." I nodded, and handed him my phone.
He handed it back to me and I laughed hard at his contact name, "Armani's Favorite". I shook my head and he laughed.
     "Make sure you use it."
"I wil." I walked around to my door, and he nodded and walked off, but Kai stayed behind.
"Tell Malaysia to give me a call."
"Will do." I got inside, and slowly backed out, heading straight home.
I placed my key in the door, and rolled my eyes entering the house. He had a few of the Deacons over and I smiled and waved greeting them.
"Father ?" I held his hand up.
" I'll be in there to talk to you after I escort the Deacons out." I nodded and headed upstairs. I fixed my room up some and sat at my study desk. I heard his light knock, and I allowed him to come in.
"Let's talk now. We are all honest in this house, and most of all God is listening to us all." I nodded unsure of where this was going.
"Okay. What's going on ?" He handed me his phone, and there was a photo of me talking to DeAngelo when he stopped me from walking out of the park.
"Father, there's a complete explanation for that."
     "Please do." I nodded.
"As you know I left the house early to sit at the neighborhood park and finish up some work. As I was sitting there, there must of been a basketball game today or something. I didn't want to get distracted, so I was walking back to my car, but he stopped me and told me I looked familiar, and I told him I went to the same school as him. After that he asked if I could stay through the game and I did. The end." I told him, half the truth. I didn't want to bring up why I left, because he would of made a trip down to the school and I don't want that.
"I just don't want you getting caught up in things. You know who he is and what he does. He's no good and I wouldn't want others to know that you are talking to this troublesome boy." I mentally rolled my eyes.
"Why does what others say important ? I thought only God could judge." He nodded.
"Yes indeed that is true, but I don't want people thinking I didn't train you to know right from wrong. It'll ruin my rep and yours." I nodded.
"I understand Father." He nodded and kissed my forehead.
"Quick question. Can I go over Malaysia's tonight ? Homework and then a movie. I'll be back first things tomorrow after school." He smiled.
"Sure why not. Call me when you get there." I nodded, and packed my bags and headed to her house.

...

Once I arrived to Malaysia's house, her parents weren't home. Thank God. They were on a 3 day retreat for their anniversary. I notified DeAngelo I was coming, and he was thrilled. I wore a simple two piece maroon set, and my white Rihanna Fenty Pumas.

I curled my hair, and placed lipgloss on my lips, and mascara. I didn't wear make up. Once I was finished getting dressed, I waited for Malaysia in her room. She walks out wearing a fitted thigh length black dress with clear boots that showed her fresh pedicure. She looked good.
"Damn we look good. You ready babes ?" I nodded.

...

I walked into the house, and there was people everywhere, and I instantly grew nervous. This really looks like a small party DeAngelo. I followed Malaysia, but she soon disappeared with Kai, so I was all alone. I mingled around, and finally made my way to the back. My arm was pulled, and I was dragged back into the crowd. After being spun around, I was facing the infamous DeAngelo. I laughed and he smiled.
"You look amazing." I thanked him.
"You look decent too." He laughed.
"I'll accept that." I looked around, mainly looking to see if Melina was here.
"I thought this was a small party. You know 15 people or less." He shrugged and looked around.
"I knew if I said that you would come. I'm actually surprised you came, knowing who you are." I was kind of offended by his statement.
"Knowing who I am. Who am I ?" I stepped back and waited for him to speak.
"You know damn well your "the good girl". I thought you were gonna turn my invitation down, because you were too good." I understood what he was saying, but I wish they could stop seeing me like that. I'm just Armani Hartfield.
"Well you have to test the waters someday right?"
"Indeed." He held his drink up and sipped it.
"Speaking of testing waters, you wanna drink? I'll make it for you." I shook my head.
"Nope. I would like to remember my first party." He laughed and was pulled back by some guy who whispered something to him.
"Look I'll be right back. Just wait for me by the drink table." He rushed off pushing through the crowd of familiar and unfamiliar people. I took a step back, and stood by the table slowly dancing to the music, waiting for him to return.
