Armani
It was the next day, and DeAngelo was still sleep since he came out of surgery. I was ready to get up out of this place, but I was going to be patient and wait for him to wake up. His doctor walked inside, and I stood up to shake her hand. She handed me his release paper, and told me we could leave once he's up. I was relieved we got that out of the way. I scrolled down my social media, and clicked on a video Malaysia tagged me in. I forgot I hadn't turned my volume down, and the loud ass video started playing. I backed out of it, but it was too late. He started stirring in his sleep, and then his eyes opened gazing at me. I smiled, and walked over to him.
"Sorry sleepy head. How you feeling?" He looked around and shrugged.
"I mean I'm tired as hell, but now that I'm up I'm ready to go." I nodded.
"Well we can go now. I been signed your release papers." He arched his eyebrow.
"How ? You ain't even 18." It didn't feel like it either.
"As of today, I believe it's my birthday, making me 18." I smiled.
"Damn. You spent your birthday in the hospital !"
"I mean the day just began and my birthday hasn't ended."
"True. Alright let me change so we can get up outta here." I agreed and helped him change, due to his body still being sore from being shot.
...
Malaysia was taking me out tonight, and there was nothing stopping me from going. I'm no longer under my father's roof or rules. Malaysia had already went to go get my things for me, since I had to stay another night with DeAngelo. She had bought me an outfit and placed it in the bathroom for me to put on once she finished curling my hair. It was a white lace floral high half shirt, white shinny fitted jeans, and gold choker. I did my make up last, and I was officially ready to head out.
We hopped in Malaysia's Kia Soul, and headed wherever we were going. We made our final turn in a dark alley that led us to an underground parking lot. We found a parking spot, and started walking toward the midnight blue lights. The music boomed and echoed through the parking lot.
"Birthday girl." Malaysia stated pointing toward me. The guards nodded, and opened the doors. A gust of heat, sweat, alcohol and weed hit me, and I wasn't even in there already.
We pushed and glided through the crowd, just to make it to our VIP section. I sat in the booth out of breath. It's so many people in here it's unbelievable. Malaysia passed me a tray of drinks, and I accepted. I know the drinking age is 21, but it's my birthday, so fuck it. I threw two back and closed my eyes to keep me from spitting it up.
"What is this?" I asked shaking the burning sensation off.
"Vodka." I nodded, and threw another back, leaving her with the other 3. She threw them back with no problem, and I knew this was far from her first time drinking.
"If we dance, it'll kick in quicker." She grabbed my hand, but I pulled back.
"Wait let's take pictures before we mess our look up." She laughed rolling her eyes.
We had some random take our pictures, then we took a couple selfies. We made it to the center, and danced to Kodak Black Tunnel Vision. It quickly changed to Rnb, and I slowly swayed my body to the music moving my hips and grinding against Malaysia as she laughed and did the same. I was having so much fun for the first time in my life and I enjoyed it. What have I been missing out on for these past years ? Everyone stopped and groaned in irritation when the music stopped.
"Sorry folks, but I got a special announcement. Today's a very special ladies birthday, and I want to give her all the attention today. She really deserves it. She was there for a nigga the other fay and I appreciated that. That's some real down ass bitch shit. Armani baby girl come to the stage." When my name was said, chills were sent throughout my entire body. I was so nervous but happy all at the same time. Malaysia grabbed my hand, and guided me to the front, where I had climbed the stairs and was offered a hand to help me get up there. I smiled and accepted DeAngelo's hand.
"Thank you so much, but you didn't have to." I said trying to hold my posture.
"You didn't have to do what you did either, but you did." I smiled, and he kissed my cheek.
"Y'all on the count of 3, sing my lady a happy birthday!" He yelled. I was still stuck on "my lady", but for today I let it slide.
"1...2...3...!"
"Happy Birthday To You ! Happy Birthday To You ! Happy Birthday Dear Armani ! Happy Birthday To You !" They all sang in unison. I had tears literally rolling down my face. I smiled and thanked everyone.
"Turn around babygirl." I did as he demanded, and there was a huge cake Charles, Chris, and Dee rolled in. I couldn't believe my eyes. There was a picture of me on the front and in huge red letter "Happy Birthday Mani. I turned around and hugged him. He kissed my neck, and I don't know what happened, but a big waved just crashed between my legs.
"One more thing. Turn around again." I laughed and turned around, and I felt something cold slide around my neck. I assumed it was a necklace. I touched it, and felt the diamonds that were engraved on the rose gold heart forming an A. The necklace was rose gold and pretty. This must have cost a fortune, because there were diamonds around the heart. I touched it, and said fuck everything. I grabbed his face, and kissed him deeply. I couldn't help myself, and that's how I felt at the moment, so I went with it. There were lights flashing everywhere, I knew I was about to see this all over social media. I ran to Dee, Charles, and Chris, and gave them a group hug.
Somethings like this but with an "A" in diamonds engraved on the front.
"Happy birthday baby girl. Have fun the rest of the night. I have to go right now, but I'll see you in the morning. Malaysia scheduled a breakfast date with you and I. I couldn't miss today for the world." He hugged me one last time, and kissed my forehead before walking off stage.
"I'm not sure if y'all cake people, but it's open for those who are." I took a picture and a video of the cake before they dug in.
