I woke up feeling amazing, and to be honest I don't even remember getting home, or getting undressed. I hoped I showered. I rolled over and tapped Malaysia, and she opened her eyes smiling at me.
"How does it feel to officially be 18?" I shrugged.
"I feel amazing." She laughed.
"That's because you had dick last night." I jumped up and gasped. What the hell ! No way !
"Are you serious ? Who gave it to me ?" I panicked so bad.
"I'm just kidding. Calm down virginmani." I faked a giggle mocking her laugh.
"Don't play like that. Besides, did I shower last night?" She nodded.
"We showered together. You could barely stand straight, so I got in there with you. You have a nice body by the way. Your shit is to die for." That was weird, but I thanked her.
"Speaking of showering, I showered with DeAngelo. Only because he needed my help at the hospital." She gave me that "mhmm" look and I laughed. "I'm serious. Nothing happened."
"Alright girly. Get ready. Y'all breakfast date is in another hour and some change, so make it count." I jumped up and rambled through my things. I didn't want to be too flashy, but casual and cute.
I settled on a black above the knee dress, black boots, the necklace he bought me, my stud earrings, and I combed my curls out and left it wavy. I wanted to go without make up today, but applied a little mascara and lip gloss. I twirled in the mirror, and got an applause. I turned around and it was as always Malaysia gassing me up.
"You like it ?" She nodded, fixing my dress a little.
"I love it. You are so pretty. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise. You deserve so much Mani. I mean look at you. You've got so much going on for yourself, and your so open spirited and good hearted. You deserve the world." I hugged her, and didn't let go until I heard my phone ring.
"You know, you're the best!"
"Who doesn't know that?" I laughed at her cockiness and answered the phone.
Armani : Hello ?
DeAngelo : How you feeling today ?
Armani : Pretty good. Listen. Thank you so much for last night. I really had a blast and enjoyed myself. I'm so glad you were there for me.
DeAngelo : I'll always be here for you babygirl. You just gotta ride with me and stay by my side too.
Armani : Alright. I can do that.
DeAngelo : I can't wait to see you. You ready ?
Armani : Yeah. Just finished getting ready now.
DeAngelo : Alright. I'll be there to pick you up in like 5 minutes. I'm already in the area.
Armani : Okay. I'll be waiting.
DeAngelo : I won't keep you waiting too long. See you in a minute baby girl.
Today was the day I was scheduled to go on a breakfast date with DeAngelo. I was excited, but nervous at the same time. My heartbeat increased 10 times faster whenever I'm around him, and I still don't understand, because I never liked him. He was always no good in my eyes, but I guess it's true. You can never judge a book by it's cover. Once you finally get to read them and analyze them, you discover things that are hidden and buried underneath the cover. I was amazed with myself and him. I sat in the room until I heard the doorbell. Malaysia went to open it and announced it was DeAngelo. I walked down the stairs slowly, letting him analyze me, and he did. Never taking his eyes off me. I melted in his presence. He hugged me, and we inhaled one another's scent. I love a man's cologne.
"I know you said you feel amazing, but you also look amazing." I laughed at his cocky ass comment, but blushed at how sweet he made it sound.
"Thank you. You look edible too." He laughed throwing his head back, and Malaysia joined in.
"Goodbye lovebirds. Call me when your date is over." I nodded and hugged her.
We walked to his white 2017 Range Rover, and he opened the door helping me into the car. He jogged over to his side, and slid me the aux as he push started his car. I gladly accepted it, and played A Boogie Wit The Hoodie the whole way to the restaurant. Surprisingly he was feeling A Boogie too. Once we arrived, I was happy. I was happy, because we were at iHop and not some fancy ass place. I mean I love the finer things, but simple things are what I can settle for. Never basic though. He killed the engine, and walked over to my side helping me out. I smiled and accepted his guidance. We walked in arm in arm. Of course it was like a 10 minute wait, but I was cool with it. Each other's presence was enough to keep us occupied.
"There you go." He let me slide in the booth first, and then he went to the other side, where we were now facing toward each other. I smiled as he glanced up at me.
"Look at the menu instead of me sir." I said jokingly.
"Real funny. You decide on what you want, because I know the order I'm paying for ?" I rolled my eyes.
"Nigga I will walk out of here right now." I laughed, and he did too, before getting serious.
" Aye Aye, watch yo mouth. You to pretty to have "nigga" and all that otha' shit coming out yo mouth." I sighed and sat back.
"I'm going to settle for the all you can eat pancakes with hash browns and bacon. I don't like eggs so I'ma substitute them for another hash brown." I stated changing the subject.
"You want a drink and dessert?" I shrugged.
"Maybe a drink, but I'm not sure about dessert. I'll think about it." He nodded and called for the waiter.
