Author's Note

Okay guys... Finally chapter 61 has arrived xD After chapter 62. Ah well. They're not actually connected, this is just chronologically before 62. Also sorry for the lack of updates! I'm currently very busy with school; essays, short stories to write for English and loads of homework. I'm also in the middle of writing a Sherlock Murder Mystery for my birthday party in a week. So yeah. Chapter 63 will be up... I dunno. Whenever I write it. Sorry for that, and thank you for reading!

Chapter 61

"Well... This is certainly nice," Max commented as they quite happily dumped their various instruments and bags in the flat that they had rented to live in while they both studied in the Conservatoire. Martin scanned the living room, nodding slightly.

"It will do." It was no 221b, but it was nice enough. It was open plan with the dining room, kitchen and living room all in one. There were two bedrooms and one bathroom between them. The bedrooms were furnished with reasonably nice beds and desks.

"We're going to have to go shopping," Max commented as he opened the food, there being no food as expected.

"How about tomorrow afternoon? We can order something tonight or go out or something." Martin had collapsed on the sofa. He shouldn't even be that tired. He had stayed in Edinburgh with Max for the last two weeks of the Summer holidays so it had only been an hour long train journey.

"Sounds good." Max arched an eyebrow, sitting down next to his boyfriend. "Tired?"

"Just a bit."

"A bit?" Max look sceptical. Martin merely rested his head against the green eyed boy's shoulder, letting his eyes close slightly. "Looking forward to tomorrow?"

"Not really. I won't know anyone. It will be like starting school again."

"Don't worry, you could just switch to my course."

"I know I can, I got into it. But I really want to do composing."

"You'll be fine." Max ran a hand through Martin's dark curls in a comforting manner. "It'll be good for you."

"No it won't," Martin muttered, relaxing against Max. Max rolled his eyes.

"New experiences are always good, Martin," Max pointed out, a light smirk beginning to frame his lips. "You're pretty open and confident around me, your family and Karina. You just need to work on that around other people. Then maybe you won't cling onto me so much in public."

"I'm not clingy!"

"We both know that is not quite true."

"Shut up." Martin pouted, an expression that all the Watson-Holmes children seemed to have perfected. Max laughed, leaning forward and kissing Martin lightly. Martin's pout disappeared but he continued to pretend to be offended. Max merely arched an eyebrow.

They ended up going on a walk in the nearby area for a while, checking out what was around them and getting their bearings. Making sure to work out exactly where the conservatoire was so they would be able to get there the next morning without much concern. So they wouldn't be late. Which really wouldn't do for either of them. Both had their first lessons in the morning of the next day.

They ended up eating in a small fish and chip shop. It was rather nice, actually, with a nice interior that contrasted the slight shabby exterior. They didn't have too bad an evening. Upon getting back to their flat the two of them watched a bit of television before collapsing into bed. They would need their sleep for the next day, with a bright and breezy start.
