"What else are you going to do with your life since the lawsuit is over?" Vanessa, my best friend since 3rd grade, asks me as she sips on her coffee.

"Who knows. Probably steal Adam's clothes."

"That doesn't count."

"Then I don't know."

"I can get you a job!"

"Like what?" I lift an eyebrow at her and cross my arms.

"Dancing!"

I roll my eyes,"you're a professional dancer. I'm not."

"You can sing at least."

"Don't you teach a class that starts in five minutes?"

She looks at the time,"bye!" She runs off.

I chuckle. She's very intelligent, but she doesn't act it. Even Adam personally knows her and he agrees with me on that. Speaking of the devil, he's calling at a perfect time.

"Hey, Addy. What's up?"

He groans,"I'm bored."

"You at your place? Cause Vanessa just abandoned me here at the mall. She forgot about her class, again."

"Shopping?!" He squeals. He eats, sleeps, and shops. That's his life in three words.

"Nope. Already went with her. Don't worry. I didn't forget about you. I got you something."

"Ooh! Can't wait to see! Meet over lunch?"

"Sure."

"Meet me at Fuddruckers in fifteen minutes."

"Alright. But pick me up."

I feel him roll his eyes,"alright. I'll be there in ten."

I chuckle,"thanks, Ad. Be careful. Love you."

"Love you too, sis."

He rolls his eyes as I told him the story,"she's crazy!"

"She's always been like that, Adam."

"How long have you known her?"

I chuckle as I start doing the math. Well, you're like nine when you go to the 3rd grade. God, I'm old...

"Twenty years."

He went wide-eyed,"and how long have we known each other?"

"Six."

He chuckles,"we're old, aren't we?"

I roll my eyes and smack his shoulder,"yeah. And keep your eyes on the road, Lambert."

He rolls his eyes,"alright, Daddy Amber."

"Mommy Adam and Daddy Amber!"

He rolls his eyes,"off to go eat food at Fuddruckers!"

"The food will die though..."

He snorts,"it's called digestion, honey? Hear of it?"

"Heard of college?"

"Hey! You know my reason why! And you dropped out, too!"

I chuckle,"I'm only messing with you, Ad. And I didn't drop out of college. You went to my graduation!"

He chuckles,"yeah, I did. God, is my age affecting my memory!"

I roll my eyes and scoff playfully,"you're only thirty-four, Adam."

"Says the girl who turns thirty next year."

"I'm enjoying my final days in my twenties."

He parks the car,"finally! You take a long time to drive."

He turns his head over and lifts an eyebrow,"don't make me turn around and drive even slower."

I chuckle,"ok, grandpa."
