2009: Pre-debut
In February, 2009, Park appeared in Jewelry S's "Date" music video as the male lead.
In the same year, Park worked as a uniform brand model.
He appeared in Mnet's reality program ZE:A’s Debut Diaryalong with his ZE:A fellow members.
2010-2014: ZE:A, Acting debut, ZE:A Five

On January 7, 2010, Hyungsik debuted as a member of South Korean boyband ZE:A.Aside from Ze:a's activities, he has participated in acting projects. In 2011, Park began his musical career with cast in the musical Temptation of Wolves.
In 2012, he began his acting career with starring in SBS's special drama I Remember You.In the same year, he starred in SBS's Dummy Mommy, where he played as Oh Soo-hyun, a vocalist of an indie band.
In January 2013, Park starred in KBS2's special drama Sirius, where he played dual roles as twin brothers. In March 2013, Park along with his fellow ZE:A members Siwan, Kevin, Minwoo and Dongjun formed the group's first sub-unit called ZE:A Five. They debuted with the EP, Voulez-Vous on March 25, following with the release of a Japanese single-album titled The Classic. In the same month, he was cast as the younger version of Lee Jin-wook's character Park Sun-woo intvN's Nine: Nine Time Travels.
Park gained popularity on screen after he joined the military variety show Real Menin June, where he was nicknamed "Baby Soldier" for his innocent yet passionate image. He then starred in SBS's hit drama The Heirs. In 2014, he was cast in KBS2's family drama What's With This Family.
2015-present: Solo career and new agency
In June 2015, Park played the second leading role in SBS's High Society as achaebol.
In December 2016, he starred in youth historical dramaHwarang: The Poet Warrior Youth, playing the role ofSammaekjong, a young and distrustful king.
In January 2017, all ZE:A members contract with their label, Star Empire Entertainment had expired and a speculation was made that the group has disbanded. The label later announced that the group has not disbanded and for the time being, each of the members are focusing on their own activities.
In February 2017, he starred in his first leading role in jTBC'sStrong Woman Do Bong-soon, playing the role of a CEO of a game Company. The romantic comedy was a hit and achieved the highest ratings for the first episode of any JTBC drama.Following which, Park experienced a rise in popularity and commercial offers.
On April 12, Park officially signed United Artists Agency (UAA). He was formerly a free agent upon the expiration of his contract with Star Empire Entertainment
