"Your alarm is going off." Harry mumbles in a hot raspy voice.
I reach for my phone and slide my finger across the screen to snooze it.
"I have to go to work." I groan.
"I'll drive you." Harry offers.
"You sure?" I ask.
"Ya." He says, getting up from the bed.
"Your clothes should be dry." I tell him and he nods before starting off to the back room.
I get up and find a pair of skinny jeans to throw on, along with my diner shirt.
The diner shirts are light blue with 'Riley's Diner' printed in hot pink letters across the back. I normally don't wear mine, even though it's suggested.
While putting on my jeans, Harry walks into the room pulling his shirt over his head.
I turn to check myself in the mirror. I grab a ponytail from off my dresser top and begin to put my hair up.
I feel Harry's arms wrap around me. "Yesterday was fun." He whispers into my ear. I turn to face him and peck his cheek.
"We didn't even eat anything." I point out. "The whole point was dinner."
"We'll stop for breakfast?" He suggests.
I glance at his watch. "Hmm... I guess we have a little time." I smile.
We get into the car and Harry stops at a donut shop on the way to the diner. I get a chocolate glazed and he gets a peanut butter & jelly filled.
I thank the lady and Harry pays. As we walk back to the car, Harry stops and smiles at me.
"What?" I ask. My mouth is filled with donut and my response comes out muffled.
"Did you know you talk in your sleep?" He asks.
"No I don't!" I laugh.
He nods and unlocks the door to the car.
"What did I say?" I'm kind of scared to know what he heard.
"You kept mumbling stuff about boats..." He chuckles.
"Boats?" I look at him to see if he's joking or not.
"I'm not kidding. You either said boats or boys."
"Must've been boys." I smile. "Ya know, after working on the corner all those nights, I just can't help it." I say with a straight face.
Harry looks at me with a shocked look. "What?!"
I laugh and pop the rest of my donut in my mouth. "I'm kidding."
We pull into the diner parking lot a few minutes later.
"You coming inside?" I ask him.
He shrugs. "Sure."
We get out of the car and walk into the diner.
Gloria shouts me a greeting from the kitchen as soon as I walk in.
She walks out and when she sees Harry, she shoots him a dirty look.
I look over at him but he doesn't seem fazed.
I walk behind the bar and put my phone in my storage tub. "Do you want anything?" I ask Harry.
"Uhh... Sure. A decaf." He says, taking a seat across from me.
"Okay." I reach for a mug and take the pot of decaf from the coffee maker.
"Here ya go." I slide Harry the cup before walking off to take orders from some people who just walked in.
