The next several hours were a complete blur. After I ran up to see that the towns people were shouting for the king of the mountain the dwarves were whisked away to be showered in parties food and of course all the mead they could drink. I'm not much of a party person myself so I walked back to Bard's house to care for Kili. I begin to walk up the stairs to Bard's house when I hear a noise in the distance, I spin around quickly to try and locate where that sound came from. I scan the paths and rooftops of the homes in Laketown very closely, using my enhanced senses to see in the darkness. Searching for a few minutes I swear I see something atop a rooftop, but when I look back it is gone. I brush it off and turn back to enter the house when Sigrid comes out thinking she heard a noise, asking if is was her father when an orc jumps down off of the roof. I quickly shove Sigrid inside and shut the door blocking it with my body to keep the orc from getting to her and her siblings. I spin around only to have the orc grab hold of my forearm, I try to yank it away from him a few times before he releases me. The second he let's go I kick him hard in the chest causing him to stumble backwards, giving me some time to pull out my daggers. Once I get into fighting stance he charges at me. Thinking quickly I swiftly dodge his attack by kicking off the wall to jump over him plunging my daggers into his back as I do so. Just as the life fades from the orc's body I hear screaming coming from inside the house. I bust the door down to see that orcs have breached the house from the roof. Fili is fighting them to the best of his ability, but isn't doing so hot, so I join the fight slashing and staving orcs to protect the children. Just as I go to stab an orc in the door way I see another blade protrude from its body that does not belong to me. I look up to meet the face of the elf Tauriel from Mirkwood. I remove my dagger at the same time she does, she gives me a nod signaling that she is here to help and she joins the fight. We fight for a minute before the blonde haired elf Legolas jumps down from the ceiling, joining the fight as well. The moment he jumps down he stares at me for a moment before proceeding to kill the orcs. I slash and stab one last orc, and it seems like they have all been disposed of, or have fled all together. I take a breath and wipe the orc blood off my daggers, placing them in their respectful sheaths. I begin to hear the girls whimpering, so I go help them from underneath the table, bringing them out, and making sure the are alright. Bain was the first one to stand up, not needing my assistance. Once he stood up he looked between Legolas, Tauriel and I and said in awe" You killed them all." Legolas looked at the boy in disgust and said, " There are more.... Tauriel....... come." She looked at him for a moment, almost expressionless. He looked at me for a moment with sad eyes before beginning to leave. " Wait!" I said. I ran outside after him, " I'll come with you, you can't do this by yourself. Just let me say goodbye and I will join you." He looked at me for a moment before saying," You are nothing but a liability, and you will slow me down. You stay here." " You and I both know I can handle myself, I am coming with you!" I said. I turned back to the door of the house to make sure everyone would be okay, and that I would be back soon, and off we went. I pulled out my bow as we ran shooting any orc I saw right in it's ugly head, and I could have sworn I saw a glimpse of astonishment in Legolas' eyes as I did so. Once I ran out of arrows, I switched back to my daggers. We kept sprinting through the twisting paths of Laketown until, all of a sudden Legolas stopped running. He put his arm out to stop me from running to, and just as I was about to yell at him it looked up and saw that we had just ran right into Bolg. One of the uglier orcs I have seen in my time. He had large pieces of metal protruding out from his head and sides..... gross. I looked up at Legolas to see what the plan was, and he pushed me back, drew his sword and advanced. As he did so, two orcs came out of nowhere and attacked Legolas without warning. Of course this did not phase him because he sees and knows all right? But I could not help but stand in awe and watch his magnificent skill and grace in combat. After watching for a moment as he impaled an orc with his sword I snapped out of the trance I was in and pulled out my daggers and advanced. Even being as fierce of a warrior that he is, three against one is unfair no matter who it is. I advanced fighting as hard as I could to distract the other orcs, so that Legolas could fight one on one with Bolg. Dodging and slashing as the orcs swung and lunged at me, I was finally able to kill off the two henchman. Once they were disposed of I looked up to see Legolas being squeezed by Bolg. I panicked thinking that he was going to crush him, so I leaped on to his back and started slashing. It seeming to be working well until Legolas tried to break free from Bolg's grip by head butting him. Course that would have worked out if my head wasn't directly behind Bolg's. His head swung backwards making direct contact with my nose, cause inflammation it to break, and begin bleeding. I let go of Bolg grabbing my injured nose and stumbling backwards towards the closest wall. I looked up still holding my nose, but instead of seeing Legolas and Bolg fighting, all I saw was red. Pure red. My pulse began speeding up and my breathing quickened, I was about to turn.

Legolas' P.O.V:
I knew that y/n had joined the fight when I was just fighting one on one with Bolg. I was both great full and irritated that she had joined, because I didn't want her help, but turns out I needed it. While I was fighting Bolg, I kept looking around him trying to see if I could spot y/n to see if she was alright but I couldn't see her. Bolg took advantage of this moment and grabbed me from behind and began squeezing me so that I couldn't move or breathe. I tried to wriggle out of his grasp, but when that failed I resorted to head butting him. When I did so I heard a muffled grunt of pain from Bolg and a high pitched yelp from y/n.... Oops. Once I escaped his grasp, we lunged at each other, punching and grabbing each other for a minute or two. Until he threw me at a post knocking the wind out of me. He took this chance to make an escape. I stood up, catching my breathe and suddenly I felt my nose dripping, I brought my hand up to feel it only to find that it was blood, which reminded me of y/n. I whipped around to find her, only to see her bent over and breathing rapidly. I ran over to her and turned her around, but she shoved me away and said something like get away from me, I am danger.

Y/n's P.O.V:
Red. All I saw was red. All I heard was the wolf inside me begging to kill. I tried to slow my breathing, but it wasn't working. I bent over trying to calm myself down, to no avail. It was going to take over and there was nothing I could do. Then, I heard a voice. A sweet, soothing voice...Legolas. He put his hand on my shoulder, tilted my head up, and said in a panicky voice, " Y/n!! Are you alright?? What's the matter?". I shoved him backwards trying to tell him to get away from me, that it wasn't safe, but the words just wouldn't come out right," I am danger!!! Please.... go!" He looked at me funny and said,"You may be dangerous to your enemies, but you would never hurt me. I know you, and this thing that is controlling you right now is not who you truly are. Be in control y/n." I knew what he was saying was probably heart felt, but it wasn't calming me down. "Please, Legolas!!! Go!!!" I stood up straight yelling at him will all my might. He stapled back at first, and looked at me for a moment, then he walked forward fast grabbing both side of my face and kissing me hard on my lips. My eyes shot open with shock, and I held my breathe. Legolas was actually kissing me. After I got over the initial shock I melted into the kiss, until he pulled away. I looked at him, and he looked back at me intensely. "Seems like that was the trick to calm you down." He said with a smirk. I blushed hard and averted my gaze. " I can't just let Bolg get away, I must go. But I promise, we will meet again." He said holding my hand. I nodded my head and he ran off, to kick some orc butt. I just stood the in the same spot, remembering the moment we just shared, hoping that I would never forget the way his lips tasted, or that everything felt exactly right in that moment when we kissed. Hoping never to forget that no matter how unconventional, unplanned, and completely spontaneous it was with both of our blooded and bruised faces, that it was absolutely perfect.
