Stiles watched as thin, long claws grew from his fingers. He was beginning to think it was a dangerous idea. What if he lost control? Thankfully his dad still wasn't home yet. He sighed softly, feeling strong and like he could take on the world.

Stiles glanced outside to see a dark figure near his window. He wasn't scared as he got up and walked towards it. His curiosity was too overpowering to feel anything else.

As he neared the window, he was able to make out features of the strange figure. Stiles' blood ran cold. It was Derek. He rushed outside, he needed to know if Derek saw what he was doing.

"Derek? Derek what are you doing here?" Stiles called out as he walked closer. Derek's face was white and stone cold.

"I was waiting here for hours. I was worried sick about you" Derek started, his voice had become more wolf than man at that point. Stiles didn't back off or cower away from him. He stood his ground.

"How dare you!" Derek roared, his eyes glowing bright. Two can play at that game.

Stiles' breathing became heavy. His jaw was clenched shut. He could feel his claws growing again and his eyes felt like they were on fire. He could see a golden glow on Derek's face, mixing with his fear.

"You want a roar? I'll give you a goddamn roar!" Stiles yelled as he walked closer to Derek.

Stiles tilted his head back and roared. It wasn't nearly as powerful as past ones, but it got his point across. Derek was backing up, cowering away from him. Terror filled his now human eyes as he watched Stiles' face contort. His mouth had become inhumanly wide, making room for larger and sharper teeth.

"Please! Please don't turn! Stiles stop!" Derek howled. Not again, please not again.

Stiles stopped, his eyes were still ablaze and his face was more animal than human. He had large fangs and claws, which soon detracted. His breathing slowed again and his heart became heavy. The one thing he had for himself, now ripped from him and shown to the world.

"Leave" he said coolly before turning away from Derek and walking back into his house.

Derek didn't know what else to do besides stand up and walk away.
