I smooth Kate's plum dress down over my hips and walk out into the kitchen to make us some drinks before we leave for Josè's show tonight.  "Ana! Have you seen my plum dress? I can't find it anywhere!" Kate yells as she approaches me from her bedroom.
"Oh......." She looks down at her plum dress that is now on me and frowns. "Sorry. I forgot to tell you I borrowed it for my first day of work and I thought I'd wear it to Josè's show tonight." I bite my lip, unsure of what to do now. I should've asked first before just stealing her dress. "Oh.....well that's okay. I'll just find something else." She shrugs and I feel myself finally exhale again. She's not mad, thank god. I didn't want to have to change. Then after a few seconds of silence she smiles and leans in towards me. "It looks better on you anyway." She whispers, with a smirk. Then she reaches out and smacks my ass, before turning and walking back to her room to get dressed. I smile to myself as I get two wine glasses out of the cabinet and fill them each up halfway with the one bottle of red wine we have left in the fridge. I take a sip of my wine, taking a look around the room. My bouquet of white roses Kate sent me are still sitting on the kitchen counter, although now they've become quite depressing looking. They're all wilted and sad. I frown and set my wine glass down on the counter. I pick off the dead petals on the roses, attempting to make it look more lively, but it's no use. They're nearly all dead and the few that aren't are on their way there. "What are you doing?" Kate's voice from behind me, makes me jump. "Jesus, Kate! Haven't I told you not to sneak up on me like that?" She laughs, taking her wine glass off the counter. "If you did I didn't listen." I roll my eyes at her and go back to my flower picking. "I was just trying to fix these roses." I say, tossing a few more petals into the trash. "Ana, they're dead. Just throw them away." I look at her like she's crazy. "Just throw them away?" I repeat. "Kate these are special. You gave them to me." She shakes her head. "Ana, I can get you more flowers. I'll get you as many flowers as you want, baby. But you can't fix these." She leans in towards me and plants a kiss on my pouted our lips. "Fine." I dump the roses into the trash and finish off the last of my wine. "Stop pouting." Kate commands, flashing me her dazzling smile. I stare at her, only now noticing the black two-piece dress she's changed into. I peek down at her chest and she raises an eyebrow at me. I can't help it. I break into a smile.

Kate and I wander around the building, neither of us sure exactly what we're looking for. I haven't seen Josè anywhere but I've recognized a few of his pieces as the one's he showed us when we visited. As we're walking a woman approaches us with drinks and offers us each a glass of white wine. We take them and make our way around the corner. I stop abruptly and my mouth falls open. Suddenly I'm surrounded by huge personal pictures of me. Me smiling, laughing, looking at the camera. "Holy fuck!" I look around at them, a blush creeping over my cheeks. "Jesus Christ, Ana you're....Everywhere." Kate follows me as I walk even closer to the wall of portraits. "Oh my god." I'm sure my face is full on tomato red at this point. This is so embarrassing! I knew I heard people whispering about me earlier but I just assumed I was being paranoid. Now I know they were talking about this. "Ana! Kate! You made it!" Josè approaches us from around the corner. "So, what do you think?" He asks, smiling at our stunned expression. "Josè there's like so much of my face in here." I stutter, my eyes wide still in shock. "I know. You're some of my best work." He explains, still totally oblivious to my discomfort. "Hang on a second." He tells me, as a woman drags him a few feet away to talk in private. "Shit, Ana. I know you wanted to tell him about us at your own pace but he's like seriously obsessed with you or something. If you don't feel comfortable telling him I will. He needs to know." Kate whispers, wrapping her arm around my waist. "I'll tell him." I promise, focusing on Kate instead of the pictures surrounding us. I take a deep breath, trying to make the red in my face disappear, but it's no use now that I know everyone's staring at me. After a moment, Josè returns, smiling proudly. He glances down at Kate's arm wrapped around my waist, but he doesn't say anything. "Well, someone liked them. In fact someone just bought all of them." All of them? "All of them?" Kate says my question out loud, somehow reading my mind. "Yep." He nods. "Who would do that?" Kate asks, tightening her grip on me. "I don't know." I can't imagine why anyone would want those pictures of me, unless they know me. "I bet it was that Christian Grey fucker. I should've been more aggressive about you turning him down. He clearly didn't get the message." Kate nearly growls, her jealous side taking over. "Or my boss." I whisper to myself. "What?" Kate and Josè both look at me. "Nothing." I look down at the flawless marble floor. "I gotta go, but dinners on me tonight." Josè smiles one more time at me, then he runs off back to wherever the woman he was talking to earlier went. "You've got to tell him now, Ana." I nod. "I will. Before we leave." Kate sighs, but doesn't argue. I know sooner is always better in her opinion, but I don't want to screw up this whole night for him. "We're not really going to dinner with him tonight are we?" Kate asks, walking with me around another corner to look at some pictures that aren't of my face. "No. Not unless you want to." I glance at her and she shakes her head. "God, no. That'll just be awkward as hell. Besides, I was hoping I'd have you all to myself tonight." She smirks at me and her hand slides down a few inches on my back. I smile and lean in close to her ear. "Now that you've got me what're you gonna do with me?" She keeps her lips sealed, her usual all-knowing smirk appearing on her lips.

Kate stands waiting at the door as I approach Josè. "Hey, we're gonna have to go." I tell him. "Oh, alright. Are you sure you don't want dinner. It's on me." I shake my head. "If Kate's got other plans we could just go alone." He adds, taking a few steps towards me. "Uh....no....actually, Josè. I've been meaning to tell you but I'm not really sure how to say it." I pause and he waits patiently for me to finish. "Kate and I are actually....well....together." He doesn't say anything in response. "Like romantically." I clarify, biting my lip. I wait for his response, but he doesn't say anything. "Oh, I didn't realize. I mean I knew about Kate I guess I just didn't realize the feeling was mutual." He mumbles, awkwardly. "Yeah." I glance over at Kate and see she's still watching us. "Okay, well. I guess I'll see you two later then." I nod, forcing myself to smile. "Yeah, of course. I'll see you later." He pulls me in for an awkward hug, then releases me. "Alright. Bye Ana." He waves to Kate and Kate nods in his direction. "Bye, Josè." I turn and walk over to Kate. "I wish this didn't have to be so damn awkward." I whisper, allowing Kate to lead me to the exit. "He'll get over it." She stops and holds the door open for me. When we get outside the doors Kate stops and grabs me suddenly, throwing me over her shoulder. "Kate!" I scream, blushing a new shade of bright red. She then smacks my ass, hard, making me scream again. This is so embarrassing. There's people everywhere out here. "Put me down!" I kick her but all she does is laugh at my weak attempts at kicking. She doesn't put me down until we're at a restaurant two streets down.
