At first, I just stand there, gaping at him, then as the shock starts to wear off I realize that he's not just a random guy, I know him. He pulls the heather grey t-shirt in his hands over his head and looks at me, looking just as surprised as I am. I recognize him almost instantly. Dirty blonde hair, blue eyes, same strong jaw line as Kate, same bright smile, just as beautiful as Kate in every way possible. It's Ethan. Kate's brother. I wipe the look of surprise off my face and replace it with the biggest smile I can manage. "Ethan! Hi!" I exclaim, pulling him in for a hug. He scoops me up in a big bear hug, nearly smashing me with his huge arms. I remember now that Kate had mentioned before he was coming over for a visit. With all the stress of my trip to New York it must've totally slipped my mind. He releases me from his tight grip and sets me back down gently. "Ana!" He sets his arms on my shoulders and gives me a once over. "God, you've changed so much since graduation." I frown, I didn't think I looked any different. "It's good though. You look good." He clarifies, looking me up and down again, and I blush at his compliment. "What are you doing home so soon? I thought you weren't supposed to get back until later." He asks."I...um...left New York early so I could get back sooner." I mumble, not even bothering to think of an excuse. "Why? Missed Kate too much?" He teases, nudging my shoulder. I don't get a chance to respond before Kate's voice makes us turn both our heads in her direction. "Who was at the door?" Kate asks, coming around the corner from the hallway. She stops when she sees me, and her face lights up with her dazzling smile. "Ana!" She squeals, breaking into a full on sprint to get to me. She grabs my waist and lifts me up, spinning me around, before finally pulling me in for a breathtakingly passionate kiss.

When she finally puts me down, I'm breathless and dizzy from being thrown around so much. Twice in only a few minutes...Don't these people understand personal space? "What happened? I thought I was supposed to pick you up at the airport." Kate asks, her confusion obvious. "Um...I got an early flight and I didn't want to bother you so I just decided to take a cab." I stutter, still flustered from our kiss. She knows how uncomfortable PDA makes me. "Hm. Okay." She frowns, clearly displeased with my answer. I'm going to have to tell her about what happened with Jack at some point, but now's not the time. "Well, let me finish with my hair and we can go get drinks. Sound good?" I nod and she quickly disappears around the corner, heading to the bathroom.. Drinks sound much better than just good, they sound perfect after the weekend I've had.

The bar is packed when we arrive, as it always is around this time, but we still manage to find seats at one of the smaller tables up in the front. Our seating is not exactly ideal. We're wedged between a table of obnoxiously loud college aged men, and smaller, quieter group similar to ours. But it works. Ethan and I catch up while Kate orders us a round of drinks and I find myself learning so many new things about him. He's been busy since the last time we spoke. He's recently got a girlfriend named Mia, and although he insists it's nothing serious, I can tell he likes her a great deal. His only real issue with her is her extremely over-protective brother. He's just finishing telling me how they met when Kate returns with our drinks. She hands me my beer, then passes one to Ethan, and I give her a quick kiss on the cheek, thankful for the alcohol, as she takes her seat next to me.

More than a few rounds of drinks later I think we're all starting to feel it. My head's spinning and I'm starting to feel nauseous. I knew I should have ate before I came. How many times do I have to make this same mistake before I realize I have to always eat before I go out drinking? "You alright?" Kate studies my face carefully, her eyes filled with concern. "A little nauseous. I'll be fine though." She nods, moving her free arm to wrap around me so that she's now holding me with both arms. "You're such a lightweight!" Ethan teases and I shake my head, trying to get my senses under control so I can prove him wrong. "Don't worry, Ana. You'll be okay. It's actually kinda adorable." Ethan assures me, leaning in towards me and stroking my arm. "Hey! Keep your paws off my girl!" Kate scolds him, smacking his arm away. He laughs, loudly. "Jealous much?" Kate narrows her eyes at him. "Jealous much?" She mocks him in a childish voice, and I giggle. Seeing them bicker like siblings like this has been incredibility entertaining for me.

Kate appears behind me in the bathroom mirror as I'm brushing my teeth and wraps her arms around my waist. I stop brushing and lean over the bathroom sink and spit. Then I rinse my mouth out a few times, making sure there's no toothpaste residue lingering in my mouth. When I look back up from the sink, her lips curve up into a smile. She dips down and kisses my neck, sending chills down my spine. "Come back to bed, please." I shake my head, knowing she doesn't want me back in our bed for sleep. "We still have that ice cream...." She suggests, with a sexy smirk. "No...." I squirm out of her grasp. "I don't wanna do it with Ethan in the house." She pouts in response, then rolls her eyes. "Oh come on! It's not like he's gonna see us. We'll be in our bedroom." She pleads, but I've already made my mind up. I slip past her and walk straight into the kitchen to start breakfast. The next couple days pass with much of the same Kate continues to try to initiate sex multiple times, and although she's extremely persuasive, I resist until Ethan finally goes home at the end of the week.
