We arrive at school in what feels like the shortest drive of my life. My nervous are raging as I realize the reality of it all. I'm actually about to go to public school for the first time ever.
I was fine with Stiles next to me, talking and making me laugh, but now that I'm face to face with the school, I could not be anymore on edge.
"You ok?", Stiles asks me. "
Ya, why do you ask?", I ask him in a rush.
"Well you're talking really fast and although I love holding your hand, it's sweating like crazy.", he says gesturing to our intwined hands.
I wrench my hand from his. If there was one thing I cannot stand about myself, it's my clammy hands. I furiously rub my hands on my thighs in an attempt to rid the moisture from my small hands.
"You don't have to do that you know.", Stiles chuckles as he grabs his bag from the back of his car and exits the car. I fiddle with the seatbelt, but once again the stupid thing is jacked up. This child really needs to fix his car. It's basically a death trap. This seatbelt feels like an anaconda wrapping itself around my-
My door opens and I turn from the seatbelt to see Stiles opening it.
"I thought you might need some help.", he tells me as he helps me undue the infuriating seatbelt.
Once I'm free and out of the car, I slip my backpack over my shoulder and quickly grab a hold of Stiles hand. My need of physical contact must please him because he smiles as bright as the sun.
As we walk to the doors of the school, cutting through the student parking lot, we are cut off by a black motorbike. I jump at the swiftness of the bike, grasping onto Stiles' arm with more strength than intended, earning a slight grunt of pain from him.
As I look closer at the rider, or should I say riders, of the bike, I see that it's is a boy and a girl. They quickly remove their helmets and to my surprise, I find the bikers to be Scott and Allison. They instantly spot us just a couple feet away and wave at us. We wave back as we make our way towards them.
"Well, well. You two look nice.", Allison says giving me a sly smile. I quickly silently thank her.
"What up, dude?", I hear Stiles say as I look up to see him high five Scott.
"Not much. Was a little worried about you last night though. Thought you were supposed to sleepover at my house, but you left and never came back until early in the morning. Where'd you go?", Scott asks with the biggest smirk on his face.
I freeze at his words. I feel all the blood rush to my cheeks all too fast. If Scott knew Stiles spent the night with me, I don't even know what I'd do! I don't want to seem like some kind of slut or something. This cannot be happening.
Suddenly, Allison jabs Scott in the ribs with her shoulder.
"What was that for!?", Scott yelps with pain.
"Because you're being an ass for asking that. You already know where he was and why he was there. Stop trying to start something.", Allison says as she slides herself off the bike.
"See, I always knew I liked you.", Stiles tells Allison.
"Ok, ok! Gosh, I'm sorry. A man makes one joke.", Scott grumbles as he hops off the bike.
"Well don't let it happen again.", Stiles tells him, and with that, he grabs my hand and continues our walk to school, Scott and Allison following close behind.
"I'm sorry if you felt embarrassed. I didn't mean to betray you or anything. I just told him because-", I cut him off by placing a quick kiss on his cheek.
"It's ok. Scott knowing you slept over is the least of my worries right now.", I saw looking up at the doors of the school.
"Hey.", he says, squeezing my hand, "it's going to be alright." And soon, Stiles is dragging me up the stairs and through the doors of Beacon Hills High.
As I look around, I finally let go of the breath I feel I've been hold for what seems like forever. I look around to see students walking and talking. Girls checking out boys, and boys doing the same. Teachers rushing through the halls, carrying stacks of papers, preparing for the first day. Everything here looks and feels exactly the same except for the fact that no one wears the exact same thing.
"Sorry we don't have servants following us around and a special time to drink tea with the queen, but as you can see, we're pretty decent.", Stiles taunts me.
"Shut up.", I say taking note from Allison and elbowing him in the ribs. I hear her laugh from behind me, praising me for my action.
"I take back what I said Allison. I always thought you were a pain in my-" I elbow him one more time, stopping him from finishing his rude sentence.
"Ok if you're one of those domestically violent girlfriends, you need to tell me now before I end up having to explain to my father why I always have bruises covering my body.", he complains to me.
I laugh him off as I begin to wander off without him, taking everything in, losing myself in all the wonders of this new school. Before I know what is happening, I crash into somebody.
"I'm sorry! I can be so clumsy sometimes.", I exclaim.
I look up to see the face of my victim and the blood in my veins turn to ice. It's one of the twins.
