I'm in some deep Mission Impossible, Twilight without the vampires, type shit right now. Werewolves, Druids, high speed car chases into the depths of the woods so that normal people can't see what lies behind the shadows of their everyday lives.

I should be used to it, but I'd be lying if I said I was. Danger is the only word in my vocabulary now a days. It’s always lurking around; waiting for me. That and fear. Fear is another one. Things like this don't ever come without a bit of fear. That shaking feeling at the pit of your stomach that makes you want to through yourself under a rock. And now Anger has joined the club. I'm angry at Stiles, I'm angry at Malia, I'm angry at fucking Derek for driving like a crackhead who just sniffed three lines of it. I'm angry at the world got even having these things happen to me. These three things roll around together and just sit inside me like a lit firecracker. I don't even want to know what will happen when it all finally releases.

When the car makes a stop in the middle of the woods, everyone immediately spills out. I almost want to throw up the minute my feet hit the ground, but I hold it in, swallowing the bile that lurches its way into my mouth.

"Get ready." Derek says while looking somewhere far off. "They're hear."

I close my eyes and listen. Sure enough I hear the sounds off huffing and puffing and slapping of feet on earth. When I open my eyes I see them, emerging from the trees like animals, with Scott, Isaac, Erica, and Boyd right behind.

I feel the fear kicking in instantly at the sight of them and the sense of danger filling the air. But my anger is stronger and before I realize it, I'm sprinting toward them.

"Vanessa, stop!" I hear Stiles from behind, but the sound of his voice only pushes me further. My hands tingle and feel like they're almost on fire.

I feel bodies running beside me. I look to see its Derek and Cora. I turn my attention back to the pack as they both lunge at them and it begins.

My hands thrust out and the energy flies out, knocking out two of them. I see an arrow fly and hit another. Chaos is everywhere. Howls and grunts fill the air mixed with screams and heavy breathing. I defend myself to the best of my ability, using the fighting techniques Deaton and Allison has be taught me over the pasts two weeks.

Concentrate, Vanessa. Concentrate.

Three wolves surround me, crazy filling their eyes before they lunge at me. I duck out of the way; kicking one and blasting the others before I see Allison come to my aid. She places her back onto mine, her crossbow aimed as the wolves stand back up.

"Allison." I say to her. "I need you link arms with me."

She nods her head and does as I say. My body is running on pure adrenalin and I don't even know how I'm doing any of this. As the wolves ascend toward us, I lift her, swinging her around as she kicks each one of them. I drop her once they're down and she shoots each of them with an electric arrow.

"Nice job." She smiles at me. I give her a quick one back before turning focusing back to the chaos.

Two motorcycles emerge from the trees and skid to a stop.

"Who's that?" I ask Allison breathless.

"I knew they couldn’t stay away." She says with a smile. "Look."

The riders take off their helmets, revealing Ethan and Aiden. They quickly jump from their bikes and join in the fight. It almost takes me a moment to realize they are fighting...with us instead of against us.

"They've been waiting for a chance to break away from Deucalion and prove to Scott that they can be a part of us. I guess they finally found their chance." Alison explains to me.
