Alex

I watch Stella eating. Her arms are covered by a thin plaid shirt. She glances up and catches my eye. I look away. After a few more moments of silence I clear my throat. She looks up at me. "Do you want me to take you to school today?" I ask. "If it's not too much trouble." she replies sweetly. I smile. "Not at all." I reply.

We set off. The ride consisted of her telling me about her teachers. We laughed as I recalled having many of them. "Ms. Young was always on my case for no reason. I'd just breathe and she'd yell 'Pay attention Reed!'" I say. "Are you sure you didn’t do anything? Oh yeah and there's also this new teacher. She's like your age, Ms. Mays . You wouldn't believe the things I here guys say about her. I think it's kind of creepy to like your teachers though..." she says. "Mays?" I say nervously. She nods. Stella flips through radio stations occasionally stopping at songs. She found my song 'Freedom' at the last chorus and started singing at the top of her lungs. I chuckled and shook my head. Next a song I hadn't heard before came on, but Stella seemed to know it.

"I should be over all the butterflies, But I'm into you, And baby even on our worst nights, I'm into you" she sing/screams.

"What is this?" I ask. "Still Into You by Paramore." she says. "Sounds like a love song..." I say. She blushes. "Does someone have a crush?" I ask grinning at her. "Yeah, I'm sure someone in this world has a crush." she replies sarcastically. "Who do you like? Is it one of your teachers? A young man that's educating you? Is it Mr. Godwin?" I ask smirking. "ALEX! He's like a million years old!!!!" she squeals. I laugh.

Finally we arrive at Longley High. "Have a great day, not!" I say, referring to the crappy asylum she has to enter five days a week. "I'll try. Bye Alex!" she says. "Bye!" I say. I watch her walk towards the door. I watch as Noah runs to catch up to her. She looks a little annoyed, but she soon starts to laugh at what he says. Even from here I can see her blush. ‘No crush, huh?' I smile and drive off.

 Stella

Noah leads me to my first class as always. He keeps making stupid jokes that I for some reason find funny. My first five classes move by fast. In sixth period, Science, we have to do a project....with partners. The only person I know is Noah, and there's no way I'm going to be partners with him. Mr. Godwin decided it would be best if he assigned our partners. "Cali and Trinity. Brandon and Amy. Hayley and Steven. Noah and Stella." I felt my face go pale. Noah. This was a project we had to work on outside of class. Does this mean at our houses? I glare at him. He smiles, his devious little smile.

It seemed the bell would never ring, but finally ding, ding, ding FREEDOM! I scooped up my books and practically ran out of class. At my locker Noah caught up to me. "Hey partner." he said leaning against the lockers. "Don't call me that." I say, rolling my eyes. "Okay, okay. So what's our topic, again?" he asked. "Global warming. Were you even listening?" I ask, shoving the last of my books into my locker. He just laughed. "So when do we start?" he asks. "The sooner we start, the sooner we can get it done." I reply. "So today?" he asks. "Sure whatever." I say. "Cool." and then he just walks off. I shut my locker and head to my bus.

Noah's not here yet, and the seat I usually fill is taken. I move to the back. I sit next to a girl in a The Trapped Dead Inside Tour shirt. It takes me a minute to realize the same one as me. Her hair is bright orange, her face is pale with a few freckles, and her eyes are light brown. She's in my sixth period. "Nice shirt." she laughs. "Same to you." I reply. "Alex Reed has to be the biggest genius in the history of music." she says kind of awkwardly, probably trying not to sound like a creep. "Amen." I say. We laugh. "I'm Hayley Jones." she says. "Stella Miller." I say. "I have a feeling this is going to be a beautiful friendship." she says shaking my hand. I smile. We talk about our other favorite bands and interest besides Alex. I don't tell her that he's my God father. I don't want her to like me only because of it. She seems pretty cool over all. "Well, this is my stop. See ya around Goldie." I say, referring to the fandom name. "See ya!" she replies. I get off the bus and give her one last wave.

I go inside and inform Alex that I'm now friends with a fan of his. "She's not going to hang around her and stalk me, is she?" he asked, half joking, half serious. "Don't worry, she doesn't know I live with you, or that you're my God father." I say. He laughs and looks a little relieved.  I might have to tell her eventually, but I'm sure Alex can handle that. I'm sure he's used to being fussed over. I actually did when he played a song for me in his mini studio. Heart Ache Avenue. He thought it was adorable.

Alex and I sit on the couch eating pizza. I'm flipping through channels. "Oh yeah I have some annoyingly bad news." I say recalling Science. "What's up?" he asks, a look of concern covering his mysterious eyes. "Noah and I are partners for this Science project. He'll have to come here and I'll have to go to his place to work on it!" I inform him. "Oh good it's just that! I thought it was something really bad." he said. I stare at him. "Alex! I don't want that delinquent over here and I certainly don't want to see what kind of home he comes from!" I say. "Hey, I know he's annoying, but you can't automatically assume he's pure evil." he says calmly. "He stole your mustang for crying out loud.” I say. "It'll be okay kiddo. If you're that worried about going to his house then just tell him to work on it here." he says. I roll my eyes and head up stair. "Hey missy! Don't roll your eyes at me with that tone of voice!" he calls sarcastically. I chuckle. Maybe things won't be so bad.
