Chapter 6 {Floor 43} Hiku's POV

"Hiku, switch!"

"Gotcha!"

We're on floor 43 now....I don't even know how long it's been since all this started. At least a few months....maybe Iku knows. I'll ask her later. Either way, we're still here. That's all that matters. We're almost halfway there! Me, Iku and Orochi are out grinding for EXP and equipment at the moment.....well, I'll just say it, I really don't think we need to at the moment....Iku has been a lot different lately and I really can't figure out why....she seems a lot more determined and always wants to focus...we haven't been to an inn for days! Oh well.....maybe she just really wants to get out of this world.....

"Done! Haha that monster was no match for us!"

I sheathed my sword and walked to both of them.

"Great job guys! Iku, you doing okay, still?"

"Yeah. Do you guys want to go rest at an inn for a bit? We've worked long and hard enough I'd say...we all could use the rest."

"YES!"

Me and Orochi yelled at the same time. Hopefully she's actually serious this time.....we all walked back to the town in the 42 floor, since it's a lot nicer than on floor 43.

"Do you guys by any chance have a room that has 3 beds?"

I asked the lady at the counter.

"Umm no sadly...I'm sorry, but we can get you two rooms with the other one for free! We apologize!"

I sighed...

"Looks like one of us is sleeping in a different room..."

"I'll gladly take that room!"

"Eh? You sure Orochi?"

"Oh yeah! Definitely! I'll be fine! It's not like there's a murderer on the loose or anything!"

I smiled and took the two rooms.

"Thank you miss."

She gave us our room keys and we walked to them. Iku and I walked to the door of our room and surprisingly, Orochi's was right across from ours! I was about to turn the doorknob....

"AAAHHH HIKU!"

Iku pretty much jumped on me and seemed ready to run away. I went for my sword and got ready for any kind of fight.

"W-what is it?!"

She pointed about 2 feet in front of us on the ground. I looked down at where she was pointing and saw a pretty big spider.

"Kill it kill it!"

I let go my sword and stood normally.

"Iku....these arent even real...."

"I don't care! They're creepy and I don't like them!"

I sighed...

"But Iku, they are only designed to stay for a few minutes so that beast tamers could keep them as pets. If no one takes them as pets within about 30 minutes after they spawn, they'll despawn and won't spawn in until five days later....."

The spider then disappeared and a small timer appeared where it was. Iku sighed and walked into our room as Orochi ran out of his room with his weapon ready to attack.

"WHAT HAPPENED WHO WAS SCREAMING"

I laughed a bit.

"Iku was freaking out about a spider don't worry about it. What took you so long to come out here?"
