Chapter 31: Haruna's POV

"Ikiru, I need a heal!"

I jumped back away from the creature and let Ikiru heal me. I saw Yujin and Orochi attacking it. Ikiru healed me fully. It's a good thing she maxed out her healing skills. I ran back out towards the monster and slated it....I got a low reward for it, but now it's out of the way.

"You guys ready for the boss battle? Even an entire Salamander army wasn't enough to beat it!"

"I still do not think we are strong enough to take it on. Do you think we should wait for Hikaru to come back to take it on, Ikiru?"

I asked Ikiru, as I knew the boss would be too tough. Yes, we are all a slightly higher level than most players, but Hikaru has his two-handed sword skills maxed out, and he's very intelligent. We would be better if he was with us.

"Nah, man we could beat it ourselves!!! You guys remember that one time in SAO when we didn't tackle a dungeon because he was busy, and he gave us an earful about it? He would hate us to wait for him!"

I looked at Orochi as he spoke. He is a very wise man. I looked to the others, but in my mind I was agreeing with him.

"Yeah I guess you're right, man....and who wants an earful from him?"

Yujin chuckled a little and we all agreed to take it on ourselves. We walked off to the boss room and put our weapons away. I stopped everyone, as I realized something important.

"We should stop to let ourselves heal. It makes no sense to attack a boss while we all have half health. Let's take a break first."

We all took a break and sat down. Luckily in ALO, our HP heals over time.

"So, what do all of you think Hikaru is doing? Do you think he's okay?"

I asked, while scrolling through my skill sets.

"Of course he's okay!"

Ikiru yelled at me....my eyes widened in shock.

"S-sorry Haruna....but yes I'm sure he's okay! I've known him for a while, and if something happened to him, he'll find a way out of it. We have nothing to worry about!"

Ikiru calmed down....I too believe that Hikaru is well. After a few minutes of random conversations amongst all of us, we decided to head to the boss battle. I felt as though someone was following behind us, but I thought nothing of it. If someone was following us, they would not dare to fight this boss battle. We finally made it to the boss room. I took a deep breathe, and opened the doors with Orochi. I felt as though something was not right here. The boss was right there in the middle, its HP bar already showing, as if someone had just walked in here before us. I turned to Orochi and he winked at me, making me blush slightly....I smiled at him and we both nodded at each other. I looked back at Ikiru and Yujin, and nodded to them. I ran out to the left side of the boss to attack its side. Orochi ran around to the right, as Yujin attacked the front. Ikiru sneaked behind it. I put my sword away, and grabbed hold of the boss' arm....it seemed like the only thing I could do. The boss stopped attacking Yujin, to attempt to shake me off....I held onto it, while I stabbed it a bunch with my dagger. I knew it wouldn't do much, but it was distracting the boss. He smacked me and I went flying to the other side of the room....I whimpered and stood up....

"O-ow....my HP..."

"Haruna!!!!"

I held myself up with my sword and saw Orochi running towards me....he wasn't paying attention to the boss, as it was about to attack. I jumped out towards him and knocked him down, moving us out of the way from the boss....I lied down on top of Orochi as I saw our friends distracting the boss. I blushed lightly and got up. Orochi got up after me.

"You take the back, I take the front? Knock it around senseless?"

Orochi asked me, while preparing himself to attack. I nodded and smiled at him. He ran out to attack the front boss, while I ran around it. Ikiru got beside me, and we both started to attack its back, while the boys were in front, attacking it everywhere they could. The boss' HP was almost gone as it knocked Yujin and Orochi out of the way. Ikiru went to attack the boss, but it turned around smacked her away....it was noe facing me, but my HP and MP was too low to attack.....I held my sword up in front of me, afraid, but ready for what it'll do. It got ready to attack, and I braced for impact. It was just about to attack when it was stopped....I saw a black figure jump up from behind it, and slash it on its back.....he knocked it back, and jumped down beside me. He let down his Hood and looked at me with a grin. It was Hikaru!

"Hey guys, sorry I'm late!"

I noticed that he wasn't intending to hurt the boss....it's almost like he was messing with it...the boss was attacking him, but Hikaru was hitting its weapon away.

"Haruna! Use a skill, now!"

I got my sword ready and lunged forward, stabbing the boss. Its HP completely depleted, and it disappeared. I moved my hair out of my face and smiled at Hikaru.

"Thank you Hikaru, but why did you allow me to get the final hit?"

He smiled at me and put his sword away. He walked towards me, as the others did the same thing.

"Well, we all know you could use that last attack bonus....like seriously Haruna...."

"Hmm? What do you mean Hikaru?"

Ikiru walked up beside Hikaru and looked at me.

"Haruna....you have been using that same weapon since floor 1....it's just as useless as a butter knife in a gun fight."

I took out my sword and tapped on it, to see it's stats. I noticed that the stats are very low. They are right.

"Haruna, if you need money for a new weapon and some new gear, I'm right here, okay?"

I blushed lightly as Orochi put his hand over my shoulder....I looked at him and smiled.

"Thank you Orochi....we have a blacksmith on this floor, right?"

"Actually, we have a blacksmith on the next floor! And since we beat this one, we get to go to that one!"

Hikaru said, smiling. I felt a soft kiss against my cheek, making me blush more....I looked beside me and saw Orochi smiling....I smiled back at him.

"Oh, and Hiku can I ask you something?"

I looked at Ikiru as she spoke.

"WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN?!"

My eyes widen as I look at Hikaru for his response....but his reaction was different from normal. He seemed calm, and okay with it.....

"Jeez calm down Iku, I had things to take care of in the real world.....oh, and now that I remember, I've got something to show you."

My eyes soften, as Ikiru calmed down....

"Look. My items and skills transferred over from SAO. Just letting you know, that I have all of this stuff, okay? Don't get all mad at me again...."

Ikiru smiled.

"Okay. Thank you for telling me Hiku!"

"Well, you guys ready to go to the next floor?"

"Yep!"

"Yes, Hikaru."

"Of course, man!"

We all agreed to head to the next floor. I love my friends....they're so nice to me......and I think I've developed a special feeling for Orochi.....a feeling I have never felt before....
