Chapter 14: Haruna's POV

Hiku....he really seems to be a nice guy....so far his friend Iku doesn't exactly seem too nice......well I'm assuming she isn't always this way....

"Hey, Haruna?"

I blushed and looked at Hiku.

"Y-yes, Hiku? Wait, that article said your name is Hikaru....right..?"

"Yep! Hiku is just a nickname my friends gave me....you could call me whatever you want though....anyways, what was that back there? With that dagger I mean....poison isn't allowed in duels....how'd you do that?"

I got really nervous....

"U-umm....I'd really rather not talk about it here...I'm sorry Hikaru...."

"Hey don't be sorry about it! I fully understand. But just a piece of advice....if you have friends and they don't know about it, you might want to tell them before they find out and get super mad about it...."

He laughed and Iku smiled. I looked down as we walked towards the inn.....

"Do you own a room here, Haruna?"

"N-no...I don't stay at inns very often...."

I looked up as we entered the inn. I noticed Hikaru putting down Iku, and he walking up to the front counter....I watched him and then looked at Iku...

"S-so...is Iku a nickname, too..?"

"Yup! My name's really Ikiru but Hiku over there and his friends call me Iku...."

"So umm....are you mad at him or something...?"

"You betcha! He's been lying to me and hiding secrets for a while. Don't worry I'm not always like this....he just owes me a lot..."

I nodded and realized how much it makes sense now....Hikaru walked back to us, as some NPC's that work at the inn went up to our room...

"Hey girls! Sorry about that, but they're asking us to stay outside of our room for a few minutes...hey! How about I call down Orochi and Yujin and they can meet you?!"

I blushed and looked down...

"S-sure...."

"Great!"

Hikaru opened up his friend's list and messaged two people....I'm assuming those are the two friends Ikiru was talking about earlier....

After about a minute we saw two men walk towards us...

"Hey Hiku! What's up--woah! Who's the hottie?!"

I blushed and held my hands together....

"H-hey be quiet!"

"What?"

One of them whispered to Hikaru but loud enough so I heard...

"Did is she single?"

I looked up at him, still blushing...

"Y-yes...."

Hikaru pushed him away and sighed...

"Guys, this is Haruna. We just had a small duel out in town. It was a little after we left the ice cream shop....Haruna, that's Orochi, I met him here a while ago, and he's been with us for a long time. That's my friend Yujin, he's a friend outside SAO."

I bowed to them...

"Orochi walked to me and shook my hand..."

"Pleasure to meet you!"

I smiled softly.

"Y-yes it's a pleasure to meet you both...."

The NPC's working here came to us and told us that we could go up to the room now.....Hikaru gave them a big bag of Col and walked out towards the room, signaling all of us to come along....I stayed behind to let the others go ahead of me...but Yujin stood beside me...he softly put his hand on my shoulder and smiled at me...I blushed and signaled for him to go ahead, but he declined.....
