I remember those sunny Sunday's down by the sea

I remember the salty air

I remember the laughing seagulls

I remember the bread that wasn't meant for eating

I remember watching the seagulls and pigeons fight like savages

I remember the giant mud puddle

The one you had to go all the way around

I remember the clink of the ball against the bat

I remember the clouds of dirt as you ran

I remember the laughter, the cheers

I remember the screaming and yelling

I remember those sunny Sundays

I remember those dirty water dogs

I remember biting into the skin and hearing it break

I remember the long walk to toys r us just to use the rest room

I remember walking through the aisles wanting every toy

I remember the salty fries and the chocolate frosty from the Wendy's walk through

I remember those sunny Sunday

I remember the cups in the gate

I remember stealing ice from the cooler

I remember the kids running free playing whatever they please

I remember the sound of hands slapping

I remember the half monotone half cheerful "good game"

I remember the energy and the occasional relief after a long 2 or 3 games

I remember the sound of cleats walking on concrete

I remember the banging of cleats against the curb

I remember the view of the sea

I remember clinging to the fence as I watched the tide

I remember the seaweed washing in and out

I remember watching as it crashed into the rocks

I remember those sunny Sundays

I remember the dream we all hoped would come true

I remember those sunny Sundays down by the sea
