I felt my heart shattering
I felt the tears coming
As you started to say no
All I could think about
Was the promise you made me
The anticipation that was building up inside of me
Came crumbling down
Everyone told me not to worry
They told me it'll be fine
But I should have known and prepared myself for the worst
Nothing has changed since day one
You're still the same
And I still chase you like a sad little pup
And no matter what I say I can't stop
I'm ready to give up
I can't even believe in myself anymore
