Chapter 10

[January 7th]

I went to help Kira at her job. It was fun.

Well planned. Your mischievous side hasn't changed.

Today was crowded. I didn't expect to see this many people.

I should've wore something better than a pair of black jeans and a white turtleneck, but I guess everything was planned: nobody was that fancy!

You woke up as any other day: 7:00 a.m.. You do your routine and went to the kitchen to prepare Yoongi's meal when your cellphone starts to ring.

Hoseok Jung. This early in the morning? I wonder wh—

You stop your thoughts from thinking any further and pick it up, thinking it might be something concerning Yoongi.

"Hoseok? Is Yoongi okay?!" You asked with fear.

"Calm down, Y/N. It's me, Kira. I borrowed his phone. Sorry to call you this early."

You release a sigh of relief. "That's okay, I'm sorry to panic all of a sudden. What's up?"

She hesitated for a moment before speaking. "I need your help... today."

"Sure... what can I do?" You asked.

"Can you come help me at the orphanage I work at? We're doing a mini party for this little girl's birthday and we're short on hands. We'd appreciate if you could help us out, please Y/N!"

"But—"

"I know you've been going to the hospital, but I really need extra hands! Please Y/N! I'll tell Hoseok to pick you up, okay?"

You hesitated, but finally accepted. You close your phone and continue to make Yoongi's lunch.

Thirty minutes later, Hoseok knocks on the door. You greet him and went inside his car with the packed lunch you made.

"Can you pass by the hospital and give this to him?" You asked him, pointing at the lunchbox.

You see him smile and nod his head.

The orphanage was lively. Kids were full of energy. You helped Kira and the others by decorating the place and by baking some soft and sweet cookies. You actually had loads of fun being there with the children. You played games and danced with them.

You look at your watch and it was 12:07 p.m. Have Yoongi eaten yet? Did Hoseok gave my lunch to him?
You were lost in your thoughts for a while, until Kira snapped you out of it.

"Hoseok is at the hospital with him right now, you don't have to worry," she said with a smile, which made you sigh of relief.

You felt better knowing that he wasn't alone.

You stayed at the orphanage until the birthday party was over.
