Chapter 8

"Why did you do that for? What did I do?" Darknova tried to ignore his aching bump on his head.

"That is for sleeping with me on the same nest, do you know what that implicates right dork?!" Saphira yelled out, obviously irritated.

"Hey your the one who begged me to do it!" Darknova pointed out while covering his aching head.

"Yeah... But... You should have refused you dummy", Saphira blushingly denied," and here I thought your not really a pervert.."

"Y-Yeah but... What do you mean I'm really a pervert?!" Now it's Darknova's time to yell out.

"Shut it perv, where already nearing your home, no use on complaining now", Saphira huffed, turning to avoid a collision with another macaw.

"Fine mom, at least tell our readers what happened earlier", Darknova loudly grumbled and breaking the fourth wall.

"You know what, maybe I will", Saphira grinned as she eyes Darknova dangerously,"I'll let Mr. Narrator cut to flashback while I'll strangle you to death!"

Flashback...

As the sun rose on the Amazonian jungle and it's inhabitants finally waking up or going to sleep for the night dwellers. Our young couple continued to snooze off despite the sun's rays hitting them in the face. Turning in her sleep, Saphira nudge a bit closer to Darknova for some warmth. Unconsciously complying to her action, Darknova tighten his grip on her and laid his head over her.

Smiling to the extra warmth she is receiving, Saphira thanked the blue macaw with a side nuzzle with her face. They continued to sleep for another good hour or so until the rainforest temperature started to rise. When they finally woke up though, well, they were in for a surprise.

"Ugh... Morning already...?" Saphira grumbled sleepily, inching closer to Darknova's embrace.

"Five... More... Minutes...", Darknova tiredly announced out.

"Yeah... Five more..." Saphira was agreed, and turned towards Darknova.

Said action caused their beaks to meet, setting off a very nasty chain of events.
For the first few minutes nothing happened as both birds are too sleepy to comprehend what just happened. But as soon as Saphira started to see less blurry images that's where all hell broke loose. For Darknova that is.

"Wake up... Darky..." Saphira's voice was eerily sweet and the sudden nicknaming was enough to finally bring back Darknova from dreamland.

Both birds stared at each other as tension began to rise. Darknova couldn't help but feel a little bit nervous at the way Saphira smiled at him. You know, that sweet smile that radiates evil and could strangle you in just five seconds... Okay, screw nervous, Darknova is nearing the point of voiding his bladder.

Darknova couldn't bare it, no one could. How can you bare the sweetest smile that held certain doom. So with hesitation and fear for his own life, Darknova only did what he thought is the only thing he could say to the red feathered strangler.

"Umm... Hi?"

With a blood curdling screech that woke the whole jungle. Saphira knocked Darknova out of her nest and proceeded to slam his head on the hallow floor.

Flashback end...

We return back to the present to Darknova flying top speed towards his home. Keeping a tight grip on the Laelias flowers to avoid dropping them. By the time he could see his tree though, Saphira had finally caught up to him and with a battle cry she tackled Darknova towards his hallow.
