Chapter 24

I don't know how long Derek and I have been sitting in here for. Maybe ten minutes since we heard Scott howl. "How long is this going to take exactly?" I asked.

"He should be here any minute, you doing okay?" He asked. I just looked at him like he was stupid.

"My face hurts" I said.

"You probably have a concussion" Derek said.

"Thank you for the diagnosis Doctor Derek" I said sarcastically.

I finally heard the door opening up behind me. If is was Kate, we are screwed, if it is Scott, we are saved...no in between. I quickly turned behind me and thank God it was Scott. He quickly ran to me to take a closer look. "My God, are you okay?" He asked. I am getting really tired of being asked that question.

"Yes, I am fine now can you please get me out of these" I asked. Scott nodded and released my cuffs. Man it feels good to be free.

"Help me with these Scott" Derek said still hand cuffed

"Not until you tell me how to stop Peter" Scott said.

"What" Derek yelled.

"You really wanna talk about this right now?" Derek asked.

"He is going after Allison and her family" Scott said "He is going to kill them"

"So what!" Derek yelled.

"So tell me how to stop him" Scott said annoyed.

"You can't! now-" Derek started to jingle his chains "I don't know when Kate is coming back so get me out of this, get me out of this right now!" Derek said. I flinched by how loud he was.

"Not until you help me" Scott said.

"You want me to risk my life for you're little girlfriend huh? Your little high school crush that means absolutely nothing, you're not in love Scott, you're a child." Derek said. I've been tuning out most of the conversation they were have been having but I heard that and it hurt. Did Derek feel the same way about us? When we were together.

"Scott just get him out of the chains, he already agreed to help us he knows Peter purposely killed Laura" I said. Scott looked at me then back at Derek.

"I will help you Scott, let me out please, Haley needs to get to a hospital" Derek begged with a worried look on his face. As soon as Derek got free he went straight towards me and checked my face. I winced in pain as he help my head up so he could see.

"Does it look bad?" I asked.

"It's just a little swollen, mostly blood that can be wiped away" He said but I know he wasn't telling me the truth.

"Come on Scott we gotta get her out of here" Derek said picking me up bridal style. I would tell him that I can walk but I am just so damn dizzy. As we walked out it felt like it was just too easy to escape and I think Derek got that same feeling because he stopped walking to.

"Hold on, something doesn't feel right" Derek said as he set me back on my feet.

"What do you mean?" Scott asked.

"I don't know it's kinda like it was" Derek started

"NONONO don't say too easy, people say too easy and bad things start to happen" Derek rolled his eyes. "What you think finding you was easy? Getting away from Allison's dad. None of this was easy!" Scott said.

"Yeah okay fine you're right" Derek said. There was a moment of silence then the sound of an arrow was heard and it went straight into Derek's shoulder just missing me by a hair. I immediately knelled down next to him.

"Are you okay?" I asked and grabbed the arrow. "This is going to hurt" I said and pulled the arrow out. He wouldn't have been able to heal with it still in there. Suddenly Derek took another arrow to the leg. I looked over to where the shooting was happening and saw Kate and Allison. I heard Kate mutter flash bulb and I knew what was coming.

"Scott your eyes!" I yelled shielding Derek's from the oncoming blast. Derek tried to get Scott up the hill as I followed but he was too hurt and collapsed. I rested next to him I just can't walk or see straight. Allison soon came over in front of Scott.

"Allison I can explain" He said.

"Stop lying, for once stop lying" She said walking up to him.

"I was going to tell you the truth at formal, I was going to tell you everything" He said to her "Because everything I said, everything I did was-" he said but was cut off.

"Was to protect me" She finished

"Yes" He said.

"I don't believe you"

This is when Kate came "Thank God, now shoot him before I have to shoot myself" She said walking towards them. Allison looked confused.

"You said we were just going to capture them" She said

"We did that now we kill them" Kate said as she pulled out a gun and shot Derek. I let out a scream of shock. I stopped listening to what was being said and put my focus on Derek. "Derek" I asked. He didn't answer. I looked to where the bullet hole was and it was right above his heart. He was going to be fine. I looked over to where Kate was and saw she had the gun pointed at Scott. Oh no.

"Scott!" I shouted.

"I love those brown eyes" She said and was getting ready to pull the trigger.

"Kate" Chris said coming from the shadows. Derek started to move and I put my attention back on him. "You okay" I asked he just nodded at me and mumbled a yeah. My vision got cloudier. I don't think I can stay awake much longer. I heard a door creak open and everyone was in their fighting stance.

"Who is it" Allison asked.

"It's the alpha" Scott said.

One by one the alpha took out someone until Kate was the last one standing. "Come on" she yelled and fired her gun "Come on" she shouted again. Peter did come, and boy did he look pissed. He grabbed her wrist and she fired her gun again missing him. Peter brought his other hand down on her wrist and broke it and sent her flying and drug her into the Hale house. I found my way to a tree so I could lean on it. I told myself to stay awake but it isn't gonna happen.

"Haley, you gotta stay awake, okay? I will be right back" Derek said and left. I definitely ain't staying awake.

I awoke to the words "I'm the alpha now" coming from Derek flashing his brand new red eyes. Oh great. I have a feeling he is going to get too cocky with this. Derek then walked over to me and picked me up bridal style.

"Look at you, big bad alpha werewolf, congratulations" I said, it sounded like I was talking like a drunk person. Derek chuckled a little bit continued to carry me to his car. He took me to the hospital and said that he would come visit me tomorrow. He has to clean up the house. Meaning hide the dead body of Peter. One could only wonder what the future holds. I think we are in the clear. I mean what could happen next, teenage mutant ninja turtles?
