I stood in front of the vault key doors with my gun pointed down, my body was sore and the broken skin on my neck was still in a tad bit of pain. I would rub it every now and then as my head would nod off and on, hardly getting any sleep at all last night.

Jack and I spent most of the night talking, he told me so much from his past and how a vault hunter was the one who gave him that scar. He talked about how all he wanted to do was bring peace to this planet and stop having vault hunters come here constantly, destroying the planet and disturbing the locals.

He seemed logical in his reasonings, he never told me what was in the vault though. That was the only thing he wanted to keep secret from me, he said that it would help the planet and we would soon be back on Helios. He wanted me there with him, he talked about after all of this is done that I can meet his daughter. He seemed a bit strange after mentioning her name, Angel, he said that we would be so close. Closer than we know.

I leaned up against the wall, the quiet room really getting to me and the metallic smell not really helping. I heard that women's voice again, it almost echoing through the large room.

I walked around the room and tried to see if anyone else was hiding around and waiting for my guard to go down, I kept my gun up and my sights ready incase anything bad would happen. But the further I walked into the room, the quieter the voice got, I turned back and faced the door in confusion.

As I made my way back towards the door the voice became louder and more clear, my confusion and curiosity growing as my guard was lowering. I pressed my hands against the door before pressing my ear against it, the women talking to someone. I couldn't make out what she was saying but she was definitely talking, maybe she made sure the key was safe.

"Whatcha doing there?" Jacks voice booming through the metallic room, I jumped back.

"I heard a women's voice behind the door, is there anyone in there?"

His body seemed to stiffen, his eyes darted around the room before he finally set them back on me. He smiled before gently pulling me away from the door, putting me back at my spot.

"It's my AI system that keeps track of the key, making sure no one gets to it as it's charging."

"I just hear it's voice talking a lot, I didn't know if maybe-"

"Don't worry about it pumpkin." He rubbed my back before pulling off my mask and planting a kiss on my lips.

"Alright." I sighed after smiling.

"I'm not done, I've missed your lips." He kissed them again and again, I began to laugh and push him away.

"You saw me this morning, I thought I gave you enough kisses then." I laughed.

"I know, but you're lips are just so sweet that I couldn't help it." His voice soon turning more seductive.

He placed his hands on both sides of my body and kissed me again before kissing my neck, he bit the sore part on my neck again. My fingers curled from the sudden feeling as he blew on the wet spot, I whined as tried to push his hands up my shirt.

"N-Not here." I whispered.

"Oh come on, it's not like anyone is looking." He laughed.

"I'm in my position, I have a job to do."

"Well I am your boss, so..."

"Not the point." I put a hand on my hip.

"I know, tonight you can leave your post early."

"Will someone else be here for me?"

"Yes," he groaned jokingly, "I swear you're always on top of these things." He laughed before kissing me once again.

"Someone's gotta do it." I smiled.

He pulled me into a hug and held me there for a moment, he groped my butt for a quick second before leaving me at my post.

"One for the road." He laughed, leaving back through the doors towards the vault.

I leaned up against the wall and rolled my eyes, the women's voice still humming beyond the wall. Another voice quickly came through, it sounded deep and almost angry, keeping its cool though. I pressed my ear against the door and listened for anything further, but it was quiet after that. I turned back around and faced the cold metallic room, my curiosity soon being replaced by my exhaustion.
