"Oh Rhysie." He sighed, ticking his finger in my direction, "I had a feeling that you'd come here, Birde just could not stop talking about you."

"Where is she?" I asked angrily, he seemed unfazed at my aggressive tone.

"She's laying down in our bed, we've had a long few weeks." He looked up from his desk and winked at me. "She tried to use some kind of mind control while she was riding me, but she obviously doesn't understand just how powerful I am." He laughed.

"What did you do to her?"

"Oh come on, kiddo, aren't ya' excited to see me?" He sat back in his chair and crossed his arms behind his head. "I'm starting to feel unwelcome here."

"Last time I saw you, you tried to kill me with my own arm and then I wiped you from my AI." I growled back.

"Yeah, harsh right?" He laughed, "but I forgive you, we're buds."

"We are far from buds."

"Then why are you here if you didn't want to reclaim our friendship?" He started to piss me off more by the second.

"I'm looking for Birde."

"How about you leave my future wife alone, ok? I'm having a hard enough time trying to get her back normal, sometimes I think I have her and other times, we're just back to square one." He laughed as he finished his sentence.

"Get her back to normal? What kind of screwed up things are you doing to the only person who actually gives a shit about Hyperion?" I felt the anger boil inside my chest.

"You wanna know something kiddo?" He stood up and walked toward me, his tone changing. "I'm on your realm now, I have a body, it may be a bit shabby but hey," he grabbed my throat, "at least I can finally do this."

Not even moments later, the double doors burst open and nearly flew off the hinges. I tried to turn my body away from Jack and I slightly got a view of Birde, she looked horrible and very pissed off. Her clothes seemed to be hanging off of her body, her hair tangled go in knots, her glasses were slightly crooked, and her eyes were glowing a bright purple. My eyes traveled to a device strapped to her arm that was glowing brightly as well, it only grew brighter the angrier her expression became. Her shoulders were hunched up as her breathing was stressed, I felt Jacks grip loosen on my throat. As we gazed at her I think we both had a recollection, she looked like an animal.

"Hey there kitten." Jack spoke in a cheery tone, my throat still in his grasp.

"Put him down." Her voice was scratchy and monotone, it sounded like she had been crying.

"I'm just trying to protect you, he was just begging to see you and I couldn't let that happen."

"That's cause he's my friend, now put him down or I will make you." Her tone still angry.

"Oh yeah?" He laughed, "and risk hurting yourself? Come on kitten, Daddy set up that nice little device just for you and it would be a shame if you went ruined it." He spoke, a slight shred of nervousness on his tongue.

I watched as she hastily lifted up her arm, purple light emitting from her palm as Jacks fingers began to unlatch from my neck. He seemed worried and angered by this, trying his best to move his fingers but had no control. I dropped out of his grip and finally took in a deep breath, gasping uncontrollably.

Jack paid no attention to me and walked over to Birde as quick as he could, her eyes dimming down along with the device and her body falling to the ground. I watched as he carefully picked her up and began carrying her towards his desk, I was confused as he didn't hurt her or scold her. He checked if she was alright, pressing his hand against her forehead, looking at the tubes and device wrapped around her arm, and finally checking her eyes and pushing her glasses back up against her face.

I stammered to get up but still watched them intently, he was a different person with her. His attitude had changed, he continued to look up and down at Birde. She seemed exhausted, something was going on and I wasn't sure what, but something was making her weak and I had a feeling it was that thing strapped to her arm.

"You can't use your powers like that, you know what will happen." Jack whispered towards me, my eyelids drooping.

"J-Just leave R-Rhys alone." My mouth having the hardest time pronouncing words.

"You don't about Rhys and I... what I was doing did not involve you."

"It does involve me." I nearly whined, the device continuing to pull at my veins. "Rhys is my friend." My voice rattling around in my head.

"Calm down there, princess." He rubbed my shoulders.

"Jack... please don't hurt him."

I watched as he looked at me desperately, trying to get the worried look off of my face. He noticed Rhys's curious stare and sighed before rolling his eyes, turning in his direction instantly.

"Listen kiddo, I'm going to give you ten minutes to get your butt off of Hades for the sake of Birde." He rubbed my shoulders.

"You're putting her in danger." Rhys stated.

"Rhys just go, p-please." The words forcing their way out of my mouth.

The look on his face made my heart ache, he wanted to help but knew that it would be hopeless. Jacks grip tightened on my shoulders as he continued to stare the man down, I tried my best to reach out for him and calm him down. My vision only getting more blurry by the second, I looked at Rhys once again, my eyes beginning to burn and the device on my arm lighting up once again.

"Just go!" My voice booming through the office.
