Mako never saw any reason to protect or love anyone. He was a stone hearted man, turning down any form of love towards him. His towering appearance and menacing facial structure, made it so that He did not have many friends or followers. But that all changed when he saw that one kid.

As Mako walked down the hallway, his hands in his pockets with his small mouth mask up, the sounds of whinning was heard. Hog looked over and saw a small frail boy being attacked and picked on by a group of kids that were twice his size. Normally Hog would ignore this kind of stuff but he felt something in his chest like guilt as he walked by.

Mako no longer was able to control his body as the large man turned around, and ran back to the group of kids. As soon as he arrived, the group of boys looked up and panicked to then pull away from the boy. Hog felt the need all of a sudden to protect this person, someone he knew nothing about, but at the same time, he felt like they knew each other. As Mako looked over the dirty kid, he noticed bruises and bumps all over him where he was hit. A strong wave of hatred fell over him for those kids, and anyone who hurt this frail boy before.

As the boy came to, after drifting in and out of consciousness for a bit looked up at the figure holding him, jumping slightly in fear. "Uh, heyya big fella'. Heh, uh, please don't hurt me." The frail boy then tried to scoot away but Mako held him tight in his grip. "Uh..." Mako only looked the the thin body for anymore wounds or bumps.

"Look, I know you're probably scared of me, but maybe if you took the time to know me, you would know that I'm not that of a guy.. Until you get me pissed. Now, sit still." Mako gripped the boys throat gently to hold him still, as he continued to search over the boy.

"Okay, but why did you come back for me?" The boy looked at the towering figure with confusion.

The man like boy sighed as he sat up. "I came back because I felt a connection to you, okay kid? I know we don't know each other but I felt a connection, like I had to save you. As stupid as that sounds, its true. I didn't want to see you get hurt more than you already were. Now, if you don't mind me, I'm going to go kick those kids asses for hurting you." Mako then got up with a huff, then walked off, put his hands back in his pockets.

As he walked, he couldn't help but look back at the boy who was watching him, head cocked to the side. Mako then jumped slightly as the boy ran over, hugging him tightly. The bulky man didn't know how to respond except to hug back, feeling a warm sensation in his gut he never felt before. He wondered if this is what it was like to have a special one, his own little sunshine. His and only his sunshine, that nobody will ever take away.
