*Mordred*

i had everything ready for my proposal to Alexandra, Merlin had been a great help to me and i was now on my way to talk to her. she was in the throne room attending to some business i stood outside and the guards opened them. i walked in and she looked up noticing it was me a bright smile lit her face.

"Mordred to what do i owe the pleasure" she asked as i stopped in front of her.

"i was hoping if i could steal you away for a while i have organised something special for us" i wondered she sighed.

"thank god this is wearing me down i have no idea how Arthur does this" she stood and made her way to me.

"i will have to ask him at some point" i held out my arm for her and she gladly took it. We took our leave and headed to the courtyard.

"where are we going Mordred?" she asked with a smile.

"you'll have to wait and see my Queen" i help her onto my horse before swing myself behind her and we head into the woods.

"this is all romantic but i can't help think there is something more" she sifted her head to look towards me but i did not meet her eye as i continued. we arrived near the river where Merlin had already had set up.

"Mordred this is..." she was astounded

"will you join me my queen" holding out my hand she took it i then we sat down  i had some fruit and fed it to her then began to eat. i laid next to her trailing my fingers down her arm.

"i wish we could stay like this forever." she mumbled making patterns on my shirt.

"maybe we could" she laughs

"in this moment forever would you really want to be with me for that long" she questioned leaning over me.

"yes forever and always" i answered she smiled down and leant into kiss me which i gladly accepted. i turn over so that i was over her and she giggled pulling away.

"i think we should enjoy the river don't you" i pulled her up and leaver to  the boat nearby using magic we gently sailed through the water. we laid in each other's arms before i decided it was the time.

"Alexandra" her eyes drifted toward mine. "i have something to ask you" she smiled

"what is it my love"

"would you do me the honour of becoming my wife" i asked she gasped sitting up.

"Mordred....yes, of course i will" i took her hand a slipped a ring on her finger i kissed her which she gladly returned.  After a while we returned to land and  fell asleep. it was the next morning when i woke. i looked down at the sleeping queen and my soon to be wife i checked her had to see if it was all real.

"it was no dream Mordred" my eyes connected with hers

"i know but i thought impossible to be this happy." she sat up and placed her hand on my cheek.

"would you think everything between us impossible" i shook my head

"then why would this be any different" she smiled  i kissed the palm of her cheek and reached for some fruit and nut we ate before i packed everything up and took her back towards the castle the city was in a state of mourn when we arrived back.

"what has happened?" Alexandra questioned

"you there what has happened" i questioned a guard.

"it Queen Guinevere sire, she is missing" Alexandra gasped

"we must hurry back to the castle" i whistled and we rode back into the courtyard before heading towards Gaius' chambers

"Gaius, we've just heard Gwen is missing why weren't we informed" Alexandra asked the physician.

"Arthur did not want for you two to be disturbed my queen."

"where are they now" i questioned.

"the rode at dawn to find her. there is no doubt that... Morgana is behind her disappearance" he informed us

*Alexandra*

days went by with no word or anything from Merlin or Arthur, what was once a happy mood now turned to that of worry and scared. that was until the sound of hooves in the court yard. i raced to the stairs and saw Arthur with Gwen.

"oh thank the heavens your alright." i ran down the steps and hugged them but it felt like Gwen was hollow it was only then that i noticed Elyan.

"Gwen i am so sorry for your loss. i..." i had no idea what to say but Arthur led her inside while the knights sorted their fallen. i turned back ground and headed back inside the castle. tomorrow we would morn the fallen Elyan.

the next day we soon near the open river and watched as we sent Elyan to the next life. i watch Arthur comfort Gwen and Mordred comforted me After we returned to the castle i stood looking over the courtyard when i felt someone behind me i knew it was Arthur.

"with all the mourning and sadness of Elyan's passing i have not congratulated on your engagement." he spoke.

"now is not the time for such matter Arthur i understand that celebrations will wait" i replied but he turned he around.

"Gwen and I insist that a feast should be held in celebration of you forthcoming marriage" i went to protest but another voice stopped me.

"really Alexandra it what Elyan would have wanted. for us celebrate the good and happiness. we can do that with your engagement to Mordred" i gave in

"very well but this does not mean that we will not celebrate the life of your brother now that i insist up on.
