i was sat in Arthurs's chambers discussing reports of the south when Merlin stood up.
"I'll get the wine"
"Alexandra where is Mordred i thought he would be joining us this evening being the King and all" Guinevere asked
"he got dragged away my Gwaine and i haven't seen him since its quite funny actually the shock on Mordred's face i feel a little cruel" i chuckle Merlin went to pour wine
"oh no wine for me tonight thank you Merlin" me and Arthur shared a looked while Merlin looked to Gaius.
"a toast" Arthur said lifting up his cup we followed in suit.
"my lord?" Gwen questioned
"to the... marriage of my little sister. i am very proud" he looked towards me then back at Gwen as Merlin pour some wine into her cup we drank and i kept my eyes on her. as i put the cup down she smiled.
"you haven't eaten my lord." she stated
"no...i...haven't" her head dropped and Merlin shifted the bread to soften her blow we stood up.
"you sure this is safe" Arthur asks tending to Gwen
"I'd stake my life sire"
"you may have too" Merlin brings in a wheelbarrow
"she's still a queen"
"it's the best i could find" i help lift my sister in law on to the wheelbarrow and cover her up.
"we'll meet you at the darkling wood" i opened the door and shut them
"i will go change and catch you up after I've made the right excuses. go as fast as you can" i hugged him.
"see you soon" i left taking a breath outside i walked down the corridors to find my husband. i turned the corner and not only found him but saw Gwaine as well.
"ah Mordred there you are I've been looking all over for you" i smiled
"sorry your majesty for stealing him away." Gwaine grinned
"no you're not. but that's not the problem Mordred we need to leave we have a situation that requires our attention."
"why can't one of you just go" Gwaine wondered
"do you want me to turn you into a chicken" he shook his head "then don't question me and no Camelot crest. goodbye Gwaine" i took Mordred away.
"does this have something to do with Merlin wheeling the Queen's body away on a wheelbarrow" Mordred questioned as we made our way into our chambers.
"yes. will you untie me" i answered he took off his cloak and gloves before tending to my dress. i then slipped out of it and dug deep into the bottom of my cupboard grabbing my trousers and shirt which i had made for things like this and dressed before grabbing one of Mordred's old cloaks.
"ready" he asked
"yes lets go." we left for the darling wood where there was our horses waiting so i lifted myself up as did Mordred and we set off.

we rode all night and stopped when we saw two horses.
"they must have gone on foot from here " Mordred stated.
"then so shall we" i swung myself off the horse and tied them before we continue to walk
"when do you think we shall go to Avalon" Mordred wondered as we walked
"i don't know but when we do it will be home and not just visiting" i smiled taking his hand and stopping.
"when Arthur has fulfilled his destiny and Morgana is gone we shall get our life and live it out together till the end of our days" i leant up and kissed him.
"now come on i want to see my brother and friend aren't complete buffoons and gotten into trouble"
