Mordant had made his mind up even after everything she did to his brother, queen and friends he could not let her go and planned to escape with her run and never look back he has said a hidden goodbye to Mordred and Arthur but Merlin knew what he was planning.
"Mordant" Merlin called and he stopped "please don't do this. you have a life here and family do you really want to throw that all away"
"i wouldn't expect you to understand Merlin"
"i don't but what i do understand is that if you leave Mordred will never forgive you. Alexandra will be heartbroken you are a second brother to her and what about their unborn child you will never get to see them grow up or help Mordred. please Mordant don't do this"
"i know you did not betray me before do not so now" with that he left Merlin was tied it was not the fact that what would of been Mordant's destiny is now his brothers but he truly made his friend of him and it would break Alexandra's and Mordred's heart to see him go. 'it was for the best' Merlin thought as he marched towards Avalon side of the castle and into the royal chambers where he knew all four royals were dining.
"Merlin?" Alexandra now awake asked seeing his expression
"sorry your majesty but...." he trailed off now having second thoughts Mordant getting caught might seal his fate but he had to say something.
"what is the matter Merlin" Mordred wondered
"its Mordant" he answered vaguely
"he plans to take Kara and leave" he finished the two Kings looked at one another before looking at Merlin and shooting out of their chairs leaving their respective Queen's behind them Merlin hot on their tails. in the palace cells the guards were knocked out Mordant had worked quick to escape not taking any chances.
"rally the guards" Arthur ordered. Meanwhile Mordant and Kara are in the forest when Kara stops because of her leg hurting.
"you need to rest" Mordant looks to her.
"we can't" she tried to continue on but the sound of hooves approaching stops them and the duck
"here i thought i saw something" Percival stops and dismounts his horse as do the others.
"Mordant" Mordred calls.
'use your magic, kill them' Kara orders
'they're my friends and family'
'it doesn't matter anymore
"please Mordant this is what she wants...to split us up don't you see? she has never loved you please brother come home" Mordant stands up.
"do what you want with me just let her go" Mordant pleads
"we can't brother not after what she's done" Mordred replies
"she didn't mean to...Gwaine. Leon" the both said nothing which meant they agreed with the royals bound to them or not. Mordant was about to use his magic to get away when Percival knocked him out as well as Kara.
"take them back and lock them both up" Arthur sighed Leon and Percival nodded take one each on laying them on the horse before mounting and riding back.

The next Day i sat in the council chambers with Mordred standing behind me our child was fine and is strong not even harmed by the attack. The doors opened and Kara was escorted in my two guards. Arthur stood.
"yesterday i was willing to even consider giving you a pardon if you repented your crimes. My sister even offered you a alternative so that you wouldn't be hanged. This was because we love Mordant as a brother. Now feelings must be put aside because not only did you murder good men but you attempted to murder my sister and i though we had done nothing wrong for that we cannot be lenient. you shall now be taken to the courtyard and hanged." Arthur nodded and the guards took her away.
"this will break Mordant just because your bane is not sealed doesn't mean he will tray and run into the arms of Morgana"
"that maybe so but we'll have to take that risk" Arthur replied i stood and we went outside Kara was lead out and up the stairs the executioner slipped the noose around her and looked up to us Arthur nodded and so did i with that she was hanged.
Later on we sat as Merlin told us of Mordant's escaped i shook my head and stood.
"then its settled he is on the side of Morgana"
"Alexia" Arthur said
"what? we tried everything and yet he still chose her." i took my leave with Mordred following behind me
