Beep, beep, beep
I wake up to the smell of something burning and the sound of our smoke detector alarm going off. I quickly rush downstairs to see what woke me up from my beauty slumber. As I step into the kitchen I see my idiotic older brother covered in flour and behind him are burnt pancakes.
"Jake, what the heck are you doing. Your little stunt is gonna wake up Mom and Dad," I whisper yell.
"Actually, little sister, Mom, and Dad left early to go to work. You're welcome by the way."
"What do you mean you're welcome? I'm not going to thank you for almost burning down the house."
"I meant to burn the pancakes because, umm-"
"Because of what older brother?" Honestly, he's only older than me by 17 minutes, not a big deal.
"Because I wanted to wake you up, so we wouldn't be late to school today. Remember? Today is a big day for me."
He grins so big, it annoys me and to think, this what the other girls in our school fall for. His best friends Calum Hood, Ashton Irwin, and Michael Clifford and him have this friend who is transferring from another school to our school, Ridgeview High. They've all been gushing about this friend and I don't even his name or how they met.
"Whatever, let me get dressed, so we can see that friend of yours."
❥
We get to school and we're already greeted by Calum and Mia, my best friend and Michael's sister.
"Hey Cal, hey Mia," I say.
Mia questions Calum and Jake, "Enough with the chit chat. When are we going to meet this special friend of yours?"
"Sooner or lat-"
Calum stops talking when Ashton and Michael are walking towards us with a person I've never seen before, who I assume is their special friend, but as soon as I see his face my heart starts to race for I'm in awe with this boy's face. (A/N HA THAT RHYMED)
"Hi, I'm Luke, Luke Hemmings."
A/N: Woah that was intense for a first chapter. This is the first book I'm writing, but I'm hoping it doesn't turn out bad. Please vote if you want a second chapter to this book, until then bye :)
