Dean could hear Sam typing on his laptop as he walked away from the table and into his and Cas' room. Cas was sitting on the bed reading the book Dean had bought him when they went to a Barns and Noble a few days ago, called The Noble Man. Cas had said it reminded him of Dean. Dean turned on a radio he bought the same day he and Cas went out. The man on the radio was stating the weather for the week. After the commercial ended, Yesterday by The Beatles started to play.
Cas was so nose deep in his book he didn't notice Deans' hand held out in front of him, inviting Cas to join him. Cas looked at him blankly and put his book down. He took his hand and Dean led him off the bed onto his feet where he was now standing so close to him. Without saying anything, Dean took Cas' hand he was still holding and placed it against their chests. Then with his free hand, he took Cas' hand in his own and set it on his waist. Cas' face became warm and Dean put his own hand on Castiel's waist. "Dean?" A smirk landed on Deans face, the left corner of his mouth curling up. "I'm teaching you how to dance."
Dean took a step to the left and Cas followed his movements. He stepped backward as Dean stepped forward, and then to the right, and back to where they started. They repeated it a few more times until Cas stopped accidently stepping on Deans foot. "There you go." Cas looked up with a soft smile.
Dean was a hunter. A pretty damn badass hunter, he had seen him in action many times. He was tough and strong and in control. He had seen him beat up and even chop heads off of some things, even people. But he was also sweet. Dean treated Cas like he was his and only his and he loved that. It was also true. He would give him this look that made Cas know that he was his and he took comfort in that.
Cas could hear Dean singing softly the words to the song. "Yesterday was such an easy game to play." They stepped to the left. "Now I need a place to hide away." They stepped back. "Oh, I believe in yesterday." They stepped to the right. Dean hummed the last part of the song as they stepped to their beginning position. Cas spoke up, his voice still quiet, "I like dancing."
