Chapter 10 • Family and Neighbours

Ariana's POV

I woke up in Hayes's bed, with his arm hung around my waist as i heard his faint snores coming out of his soft pink lips

I smiled and pecked them, making him groan, but soon his slightly opened mouth turned into a mischievous smile

"Good morning Hayes" i whispered

"Morning beautiful, how you feeling? Does anything else still hurt?" He asked, opening his eyes

My body does still ache but, not that much anymore. I think Hayes put something on the bruises to heal faster, which was very helpful and thoughtful if him

"Not that much anymore. But I'm still..sorta sore, but i guess i can still move around" i shrugged

"Okay. Just, stay home for a few days, if you want" he glanced down at me

"Uhm, sure. I'm really tired anyways" i laughed

"You sure are" he laughed along with me

"Thanks for helping me Hayes. You saved me to be honest actually. I could have died in the bathroom, and, never live my amazing life"

"No need to thank me. It's my fault for leaving you, for letting you leave my arms. This wouldn't have happened if i let you leave that hotel room and hop on that plane. You would have been still in my arms, like right now" he explained

"I never want to move. I want to stay like this for awhile" i smiled, snuggling closer into Hayes' chest

He kissed my forehead "me neither"

We stayed like this for a bit longer, until we were interrupted by my phone ringing. Probably my mom telling me that my cousins are here. Ughh. I just hope that they don't ask what happened, I'm not in the mood for story telling. I just want to say hi, wash up and rest for a bit.

"Don't worry about it. I have a feeling it's your mom too. She said she wants to talk about what happened at school yesterday, but, don't worry babe. I'll tell her, you can rest or hang out with your family. Which, by the way, they are coming over today" he simply smiled

"Thanks Hayes. I'm gonna wash up and we can go over to my house" i said, releasing myself from Hayes warm arms

"Okay"

I walked over to his little bathroom and washed my hands and face. I examined my markings Melissa left yesterday. From my bruised cheekbones, to my neck and jawline. I lifted up my shirt and saw the dark purple lumps around my stomach area. I forgot i wasn't wearing my jacket, because i don't really remember what I was even wearing yesterday. But, all i could see covering almost my entire arm, was finger marks, from those 2 girls that were holding me back.
