Orion.

Closing the door behind me I made my way to the kitchens, people passing me give me a nod or a smile. 'Orion!' stopping I turned, Damian ran up to me. He was looking a lot better since he got back. The first few days he was deadly pail with heavy bags under his eyes. Cal was not off much better. His natural tan was back and he looked like he had slept a decent amount. 'Damian.' I gave him a small smile. 'How are you doing?' he placed his hand on my shoulder and pulled me into an empty hallway. 'I don't know, it is so weird. I finally feel like I'm one again, the ache in my soul is gone, but seeing him like this. It is breaking me Damian. I don't know if I can help him. I try of course but I just doubt I can. This morning Kita tried to take his blood and he completely freaked out.' Grabbing my hair I turn my back on him. taking slow deep breaths I calm down before turning. I was expecting pity in his eyes but the only thing I could find was determination. 'Orion, who says you have to do this alone? Cal and I already talked about this. We will help you, not just because Killian saved our lives. Though that is something we have to repay him for...' he shook his head. 'sorry got distracted for a second. What I mean is, we got your back and he is important to you so he is important to us.' smiling he looked at me. Rolling my eyes I playfully hit his shoulder. 'don't get all sappy on me big guy. Leave that to Cal!' chuckling he rubs his neck. 'But thank you, I knew I could always count on you.'

Damian decided to join me to get the food. The man is always hungry so it was no surprise to see him tag along. The cooks groaned when they spotted him and hid a good amount of food so he wouldn't get to it first. Looking around I spot Elliot, stuffing a pancake in his mouth while trying to outrun the head chef who is after him with a wooden spoon. Dropping my face in my hands I sigh. Every. damn. time. 'Elliot! I swear you eat like a damn pig!' I call out to him making his head snap towards me, giving the head chef enough time to catch him and whack him hard on the head. 'Auchw! Damn you Orion! I would have gotten away with it!' pouting and rubbing his head he walks over. Taking the long way to avoid another beating for the glaring head chef. 'well that's your own fault for getting caught, don't you have training right now?' lifting an eyebrow I motion for him to get a move on. 'ah now you mention it! I should go.. yeah. I didn't forget!' he grumbled before sprinting out the door. 'Idiot.' I chuckle and take the prepared plate from a cook. Damian managed to grab only a few things. Beaming he followed me back to the infirmary. 'so, should I get a room ready for when Killian gets released?' he asked between bites. 'No, my room is big enough for both of us, just need an extra bed.' 'I want to ask why but I'm just gonna let it slide.'

Sighing I roll my eyes at him. 'I am not letting him out of my sight and considering his sleeping patterns are shit I want to keep an eye on him.'

Huffing Damian supressed a laugh. 'Sure, it is totally not because you need him with you or anything.'

That earned him a punch in the gut. He may be right but like hell I will admit that to him. 'Rude!'

Killian was awake when we finally got back, took a bit longer then I had hoped. 'Got hold up, idiots pissing off the cooks and all.' I say while glaring at Damian who just smiled innocent. 'Got you some toast and fruit. Eat up.' Placing the plate on his lap I take my seat in the chair, Damian sat on the empty bunk next to Killian and pulled an apple from his pocket. 'Seriously?!? How much food did you steal!' he just laughs and eats. I spot Killian looking at Damian, a thoughtful look on his face. 'What? Do I have something on my face?'

'I never got a thank you.' The confused face of Damian was amusing. 'For getting you guys out.' Killian clarified. 'Ah! Well I was planning this big thing, maybe woo you a bit. Have a nice dinner.' Someone wants to get punched again, i glared at him but he never saw, Killian did notice.

'You're not my type.' Killian deadpans turning his eye back on Damian and I can't help but fall off my chair laughing. blunt and honest, his most hated and loved traits.

'I was just joking but geez thanks! There goes my ego...' pouting Damian just takes another bite of his apple, fake crying and sniffing. When I finally get my laughing under control I look up to see Killian staring at me again. 'I missed that.'

Confused I get up, I can feel heat rise to my face when I realise what he was talking about. He missed my laugh, that is not so unusual. Why is it getting me all flustered and blushing. I don't blush! Giving the most smart reply I can think of being. 'oh?' I have never felt the urge to strangle myself and just disappear like I am now. The lack of emotion in his face but the pure and raw ones in his eyes just fuck me up. Soft laughter make me look away over to Damian, his red face and choked laugher make me glare at him. making him laugh harder.

I fucking hate you sometimes. Groaning I throw a pillow at him which he failed to dodge. Killian just watches us with a slightly amused look on his face. His body was relaxed as he slowly ate his toast and fruit, watching the two of us fight like kids. the air was light and i was glad Killian was accepting of Damian being in the room. he was never much of a people person even as a kid, but he did have that charm to woo people when needed. Mostly to get out of trouble. it seemed he had used it on Damian without even realizing. Damian was a natural leader like his father and would protect his people no matter the cost. it wasn't surprising he would get protective of Killian after he saved them. The effort he was putting in it, that was new. Never had he put so much effort to have someone like him or tolerate him, but it seemed really important to him to have Killian's trust. He saw exactly when it was time for him to leave the moment Killian tensed up and his eyes narrowed after hearing sounds coming from behind the door. Saying goodbye and leaving another apple behind he walked out. the sounds out on the hall stopped after Damian walked out and cussed at the soldiers walking around making to much noise. they were there for me, i could tell. i would have to talk to them soon. explain the situation, i owed them that, they were not only my men but also my friends who i had been through allot with.

'If you keep thinking so hard you are going to fry your brain.' startled i looked back at him. 'huh?' he rolled his eyes at me. 'somethings never change.' he sighed dramatically before laying back down. indeed they do, i laughed softly.

Pic of damian (dont need no knife with a jawline like that!)
