Killian.

It was summer, we were out in the park like we did most of our free time. There was one big tree near the edge of the park, casting a big shadow over the high grass that needed to be cut down again. The sun gave off a nice heat to the air.
I was sitting against the three, my legs straight and Orion was using them as a pillow. He suddenly looked up at me. 'Killian?' I hummed.
'Will it always be like this? Just you and me together against the world?' I chuckled. 'Of course, I'm always going to be here with you. Doesn't matter where we are. I won't leave you if that is what you are worried about.' I placed my hand on his head and ruffled his hair. He smiled and closed his eyes. 'I would like that.' He said and the peaceful expression on his face made me smile. He looked so at ease, I can't even imagine not having him next to me anymore. Nor would I want it. He was part of me now, I would do anything to keep him safe and next to me. 'Uhm, Killian. I was wondering... it is really silly but.. do you lo-' a crash interrupted him. We both jumped up and looked around. My shadows were ready to flair out and attack if necessary. Orion was next to me concealing his powers, to keep a low profile. Another crash we ran towards the loud noise. A few black cars crashed into the park, men in armor stepping out. Confused I took a step forward so I was in front of Orion. Whoever they where or what they wanted they would have to deal with me, I wouldn't even let them look at him. I could feel him shaking behind me, he could feel a shift in the energy. That meant trouble. 'We should go..' I told him and stepped back to grab him. But before my hand could take his I found myself flying though the air, landing hard against a three. I gasped as I tried to breath. The sudden pain made my vision go black for a few moments. Growling I got up and let myself break down to appear in front of Orion who was now surrounded. 'What do you want!' I yelled and crouched a bit, ready to attack. We had heard rumors about the humans hunting down the others but it had not reached us yet, not in big numbers as far as we knew. 'Out of the way brat!' A man with long dirty brown hair spoke as he moved towards us. 'Never.' I growled and let some of my shadows loose to swirl around my body. Ready to lash out at my command. 'Kill him, take the blondie.' He ordered and walked back. All men around us sprung into action and came at us. Still shielding Orion I let the shadows go and saw him disarm them. Blue flecks of his energy pulsing in the air. I turned feeling one get to close, raising my hand my shadows engulfed him, leaving a corpse in his place. A sharp stab of pain reached my hip and I grabbed Orion by his arm to pull him away. He was panting hard and looking around in panic, clutching his hip. 'Duck!' He did what I said and I pulled my sword out of thin air to slice the man who harmed him. He dropped, gurgling in his own blood and grasping his neck  which was bleeding heavily from the wound I inflicted.
More men kept coming, we were outnumbered. Orion was pulling at the links with our family to get some help but by the looks of it they were in the same situation as us. I kept slashing and cutting trough them all, my energy draining fast. 'You have to run.' I yelled between blocking and attacking. 'Please!' I pleaded but he refused and held his ground. The wound on his hip now leaving a red stain on his jeans. He was loosing blood and fast. I'm not strong enough! Frustrated I failed in blocking a strike aimed at my chest. Screaming I fell back into Orion who caught me, yelling my name. We stumbled and I managed to keep my balance to resume fighting. It was no use. I could barely see or stand and they just kept on coming. I had to think of something, I had to save him. Nodding to myself I grabbed him and looked him straight in the eye. 'Do as I say, run. I'm sorry...' shadows took over and he was gone. The last thing I saw were his bright blue eyes looking at me in fear. I was to weak to get him far but it was out of their reach for now. I fell onto my knees, my eyes closing slowly. That man with the long hair came forwards again, an angry scowl on his face. 'We will get him, but until then. We have you.' He grinned and before I could register what happened I felt the cold tip of a blade run across my throat, leaving me to stunned to scream from the pure agony. Orion screamed in our link but I couldn't respond. My eyes closed and I fell forward.

I screamed and arched off the bed I was in. My eyes open wide but I couldn't see. I could feel my throat burn and realized I was still screaming at the top of my lungs. That dream, the moment my heart tore apart. It was to much. I heard a door slam open and in seconds i was pressed against a strong chest. Hands in my hair, stroking the damp locks softly. Sweet words were whispered into my ear. My heart beating so fast i was afraid it would beat out of my chest. It took me a while to hear what the words were, the person holding me was familiar. I gripped the edge of his shirt, as if it was my life line. We sat like that for so long, till i was completely calm and my muscles relaxed. I dropped my head against his chest, the heat was so comfortable, i welcomed it as i pressed myself closer towards it. 'Killian.' He whispered. 'It's okay, i got you. You are safe.' I believed him, every word of it. 'I found you..' i whispered, my voice hoarse from screaming. 'You always do.' Tears rolled down my cheek, staining his shirt but he just held me tighter. That was how i fell asleep again, his warmth and soft voice lulling me back to sleep.
