Princess💘: hi tyler! sorry i was asleep 😅

Josh texted Tyler back right when he woke up, which was a little after 7 am. He was always an early bird but he could never stay up too late.

Unsurprisingly, Tyler was still awake along with Jon. Jenna was passed out on Jon's bed and Ed was being spooned by Hoodie on the floor right next to it.

The two who were able to stay strong after hours of being awake were sitting away from each other doing their separate things on their phones. When Tyler got a text from Joshua he quickly pressed on the notification and looked over at his best friend.

"Josh texted me." He whispered before even reading it. Jon looked up from his phone and quickly scurried over to Tyler to read over his shoulder.

"You put him in your phone as princess? You're a such a dork." Tyler rolled his eyes and playfully shoved Jon's shoulder.

"What should I say?" He asked and looked at him. Jon thought for a moment before saying, "Just say how it's okay and ask what's up." Tyler nodded and took in a breath before sending a text back.

Ty💞: hey don't worry about it, what's up?

Princess💘: nothing much, i just woke up. why were you up at like 4 am ??😂😂

Ty💞: i guess i'm night owl

It wasn't false, just that Tyler didn't elaborate into the fact about how he has insomnia. Jon doesn't have it, he just stays up late.

Princess💘: i don't understand how, i can barley stay up past 9:30 !!

Ty💞: that's insane, i don't think i've gone to sleep before 1 am since 6th grade unless i was sick

These days Tyler can barley fall asleep at 5 am, and when he falls asleep earlier he usually wakes up after an hour or less and is unable to fall back to sleep.

Princess💘: what ?! tyler go to sleep 😂😂

Ty💞: why would i sleep when i can be texting you?

Yes, it was a desperate attempt at flirting but Tyler was trying (and it was working). Josh was currently tangled up in his bed sheets with his heart beating a thousand times faster than normal and his face so hot it felt like it was going to melt off.

Princess💘: you're something else, tyler joseph

Ty💞: and you're something beautiful, joshua dun

Josh could actually hear his heart beat now, no ones ever treated him like this before. It might help to put into perspective that because he was homeschooled all his life he didn't have many friends and the two he had were a lesbian couple. Still, Joshua doubted anyone would treat him the same as Tyler and he thought he would get teased more for being gay and for the clothes he wears.

If you ask Josh, gender roles are a social construct that literally have no point in existing. Why couldn't girls shave their heads or be cops without being called a dyke? Why couldn't boys wear skirts or be a ballerina without being called a faggot? It made Josh incredibly upset, and it didn't help when he saw the looks people gave him when he simply walked down the street in the clothes he was comfortable in.

That's why Joshua wore masculine clothes in public most of the time as well as why he got the gauges and nose piercing. He cried a lot when he pierced his nose and even more when he stretched his ears but it was worth it to make him look more intimidating and masculine because gender roles are put on everything. Even piercings.

Tyler didn't judge Josh for wearing 'feminine' clothes though. In fact, he made him feel more comfortable about it, he praised him for it.

But why was Tyler doing this? Was it just to get out of being arrested? To get it taken off his record? The thought terrified Josh because if he was being completely honest he was becoming infatuated with Tyler Joseph.

Princess💘: hey tyler?

Ty💞: yeah?

Princess💘: why're you being so nice to me? why do you keep flirting with me? you know you don't have to anymore, right? you got out of being arrested and it can't be put on your record now.

Tyler was taken back by this. Josh thought no one could like him without getting something out of it for themselves. At that moment Tyler decided he would be the one to change that. He would make Josh Dun feel loved.

Ty💞: what do you mean princess? i like you and wanna get to know you. I think you're beautiful and adorable and even if i didn't get out of being arrested i would still think of you the same way.

What was Josh doing to Tyler? He was becoming a softie, no one in his school outside of his friend group could ever even imagine the Tyler Joseph texting a cute boy something like that. He was known as the kid who was always in detention and the one that bad mouthed teachers, but he would be lying if he said he wasn't a hopeless romantic.

Tyler had dated multiple girls and boys from his school but none of them even compared to Josh Dun. This boy was absolutely perfect in Tyler's eyes.

"What's that word again?" Tyler asked, turning to his friend Jon. "What word?" Jon asked and leaned his head on his friend's shoulder sleepily. "The one that means more than perfect." Tyler clarified. "Ethereal." Jon answered.

"Ethereal." He repeated, liking the way it rolled off his tongue. "What're some other words that mean something like that?" He asked.

Even though Jon was Tyler's best friend, they were complete opposites in school. Jon was the goodie two shoes that had straight A's and never got detention. He helped Tyler a lot with his homework and was the one he went to for 'big smarty words' as Tyler liked to refer to them as.

"Uh well let's see.. there's captivating, exquisite, divine, bewitching.. uh angelic, heavenly- uh godly, holy? Maybe? Lovely, radiant, otherworldly, rapturous-" Tyler cut him off. "That's enough, mega mind." He teased and flicked Jon's head jokingly. "Thank you. And just to let you know, Josh is all of those things." He said. "You just met him last night, Tyler." Jon said and laughed. "Yeah well you know what they say.. love at first sight, right?"

Jon laughed and shrugged. "Maybe, I wish you guys a long and happy life together." Tyler smiled and wrapped his arm around Jon. "Thank you." He said. "Yeah, yeah." Jon teased and pulled away causing Tyler to laugh and roll his eyes.

Princess💘: you really mean that?

Tyler smiled even more at Josh's text. He then took his favorite word out of the bunch Jon had supplied him.

Ty💞: i mean every word, lovely.
