Chapter 23: Trip Into Town

Flame P.O.V

As I was walking down the hallway, I saw Finny running around with weed killer in his arms. He ran up to me and put his hands on his knees, panting.

"Flame! I was looking for you!" He said in between puffs. I raised an eyebrow and put a hand to my hip.

"What did you do this time Finny?" I asked as I sighed but smiled. He stood up and looked at me with guilty eyes

"I used too much weed killer on the garden and I killed some of the flowers!" He said, tears welling up in his eyes. I sighed and ruffled his hair.

"It's alright. Come on, let's go see what we can do." I said as I smiled. He smiled back at me and nodded cheerfully.

"Yeah! Come on!" He shouted, grabbing my hand and pulling me to the garden, the weed killer in his other hand. As we got there, my mouth dropped. There wasn't one square inch of healthy flowers left anywhere. The only things left were dead flowers and once in a while there was a flower that was clinging to life.

"Oh Finny... What have you done?" I asked, more of a rhetorical question as I looked at the garden with sympathy. He shuffled awkwardly next to me.

I sighed and looked at him, smiling.

"It's okay. I'll get Sebastian to come and help. He'll know what to do." I said, stretching as I turned to Finny and ruffled his hair.

"Don't worry too much." I said as he smiled. I turned away and started to walk back inside the manor, trying to find the butler.

"Sebastian!" I yelled, trying to find him. I checked the time.

'1:35. He wouldn't be with Ciel at this time.' I thought as my face twisted in confusion, looking in every room. I went into the kitchen and found a certain butler at the sink. I sighed and walked up to him, standing beside him as I put my head back, eyes closing.

"What's wrong Flame?" He asked, wiping his hands and turning to me.

"Finny destroyed the garden and we need your help to fix it." I said, opening my eyes to see Sebastian coming up to me and resting his hands on my waist. He sighed.

"What did he do this time?" He asked me, caressing my cheek.

"He used too much weed killer and killed the flowers along with the weeds." As I said this, he shook his head, pinching the bridge of his nose.

"Of course. Alright, we should go and fix that then." He said as he started to walk to the garden, me following shortly after.

As we got out there, he sighed as he shook his head.

"Finny, I want you to go to the store and buy some Japanese style trees. You should know which ones will look good as you're the gardener. Flame and I will stay behind and fix up everything else." He said with authority as he looked at the boy with a stern look.

Finny trembled under his gaze as he nodded quickly.

"Y-yes sir!" He said quickly as he ran off.

TIMESKIP

Soon enough, the garden now looked like a Japanese style one. The white pebbles making the vibrant green trees stand out. Sebastian wiped some hair from his face as I wiped some sweat from my forehead.

"Okay, time to clean the library." Sebastian mumbled under his breath as he turned around and started heading back into the manor. I jogged to catch up to him and entwined my fingers with his.

"The young lord wants me to come into London with you and him later today." I said as Sebastian smiled and nodded at me.

Now all that's left is to wait.
