(Male Reader P.O.V)
Considering my sister was still injured, both me and Hiccup thought it best that we walk towards the house, it wasn't far thankfully and was short enough that we wouldn't get tired.
During the walk I asked some things about the dragons and in exchanged I answered some things about myself, within reason of course, although he was slightly jealous that I found a new breed of dragon before him.
"Don't worry Hiccup" I smiled at him and patted his shoulder comfortly "it may happen now, but someday, you'll see new dragons, new species and who knows? Maybe you'll find a new dragon class along the way"
I could feel my sisters death glare at the back of my head, yeah I know I shouldn't have said that but he needed the support, despite being the hero who defeated the Red Death as well as being a incharge of the new Dragon Acadamy, some people still had problems of him being a 'hiccup' and a pain in the neck.
"You sound so sure of that" Hiccup rolled his eyes, clearly not believing me.
"Trust me Hiccup, I don't say things if I didn't believe they were true"
No lie there, I am very blunt when it come to serious things, so was my sister and that was why when it came to making promises, we stuck to them.
We continued to walk in silence, enjoying a peace I had never felt before, but sadly it came to an end when our new house came into view.
"Wow (male reader), you've done a really good job of this place" Hiccup complimented "last time I saw this place it was run down and in need of serioius repairs, I barely recognise it"
"Just wait till you see the upgrades I have for farming, if it works we'll be able to grow food even during the coldest winter"
Hiccup looked at me with surprise then a goofy smile "do you want me to help you get her in?"
"No thanks, there's a room downstairs that she can use when she's ill, I'll put her in there for the time being and have (dragon name) upstairs with me"
Hiccup nodded "makes sense" he was about to turn and leave before realizing something "oh and welcome home"
He left, leaving two very shocked people behind.
"So" I started "want to see what I did with the place?"
(Female reader) nodded her head enthusiatically but paused for a moment, then she pointed at me then herself. I thought for a moment on what she meant.
"Do you want to turn human?" she nodded "I think its best if we wait, they may have allowed us to live among them but that doesn't mean they trust us completely, you should wait until its night"
She tilted her head slightly before nodding as if to say 'makes sense' and now that I think about it, it reminds me of Astrid, she always trusted her instincts and they were never wrong. Shaking those thoughts aside I helped (female reader) into the house and showed her what I had done.
The entrance was the average size you would expect in a cottage, there was a built in fire place but no other furniture as I would need to buy them, the kitchen was big enough for three or four people and had a few wooden counters and a chest to hold our food supplies, my room had a stone slab (like Toothless' but smaller) and a bed with a bed side table, my room was identicle to hers and finally, the bathroom had a wooden tub with a bucket next to it.
"So what do you think?" I asked afterward.
She gave me a toothy smile, almost like Toothless.
I looked up and saw that there was still time before the sun would set, I looked down at her and asked if maybe we should have another look around the village and see if they needed help with anything, maybe we could get some coins for it, then afterward we could go back into the forest and see if our backpacks were there.
