Y'all don't play the song yet, play it when I say. It doesn't really have any verbal meaning with this chapter but I just think it goes nicely.
*two weeks later*
It's been two weeks since I had my daughter, one week since we held a funeral for her.
For the few days that I was in hospital for, I'd woken up to cops in the chair next to my bed, waiting to interrogate me.
Blake and I had a story that we stuck to- that we were both kidnapped, I was raped and got pregnant, which was the truth, and we couldn't escape.
Then one day, we were outside the place and it blew up and we stole a car and ran away.
The car broke down about an hour way from home so we walked here, asking people for directions.
They bought it.
Even if they didn't, Blake said he'd take care of it because he 'had connections'.
I don't doubt it.
I'd officially moved out of my parents house, and I live with Blake now, obviously.
It's sort of lonely in such a large house, just the two of us and no one else but Blake said something about driving back to the old house, and getting stuff from there transferred over here, just important things that we wanted.
We'd already had the cars brought here.
The maids that worked there, they'd get transferred to here as well.
My parents had been hesitant to let me move but my brothers took care of it, told my parents that Blake could be trusted since he helped me escape.
My family had come over for a dinner and of course, they'd questioned how Blake had such a large property.
Blake said it was inherited from his parents who died years back.
And it wasn't a complete lie, his parents had died a few years back.
It was a pity that I never got to meet them, and never will be able to.
But that's life, you can't always get what you want.
I snatch my phone off my vanity and shove it into my pocket before I jog down the stairs where Blake is waiting for me.
"Ready?" He asks me.
"Yeah." I nod.
He smiles at me and takes my hand, leading me to the garage.
He starts leading me over to his Mercedes when I pull him away to my lambo.
"I think I wanna drive today." I announce.
"Of course," Blake smiles at me.
I smile back and unlock the car, getting into the drivers seat.
I turn the car on, feeling happy at the sound it makes.
"Wait, just let me put on the navigation." Blake mutters and taps away at his phone on the maps app.
