I am so sorry with how long I took to do this chapter, it was inexcusable. I promise to have chapter 12 up within a week. I am disappointed with how short this chapter is for taking a month and a half to do. :( Hope you enjoy it though although it's a sad chapter. Please don't give up on this book. -Lynne

The whole drive back to the house you could tell Artemis was pissed. You could hear the steering wheel slightly cracking under his intense grip. The closer and closer we got to the mansion the more nervous I got. The anger in him was not going anywhere in fact it's getting worse. I know for a fact this is going to in the top 3 worst beatings I'll ever get.
I keep chanting 'don't show pain, don't give him any satisfaction,' in head even though I can feel the fear consume every millimeter of my body. So far I have managed to show him no fear and no pain but the anticipation of this beating, knowing full well what's to come scares me. I'd rather take a whipping at this point. I know I shouldn't/can't show any sign of pain or fear. I know he is going to get a lot of satisfaction from this one.
As soon as the jeep stopped and the doors unlocked I flung open the door, hopped out and ran into the mansions fast as I could without tripping and giving him the opportunity to get me.
When I enter the house I swung the closed sill in a full run. I took my bag and tossed it next to the stairs, running down the hallway next to them. When I got to the end I turned left and continued down to the end and turned right. I ran into a room that I knew had another door in it that led to a different hallway and booked it into the hallway, not paying attention to where I went. I continued to run down hallways up stairs and going through rooms. When I started thinking again the first thought that came to my mind was to hide.
With that in mind I slowed down, not hearing any footsteps, and looked around at my surroundings. I was in a deep blood red hallway with black trimming and a tall black ceiling. There were two small black tables with ancient-like, gold vases on them and there was only one black door in the whole hallway. It was halfway down the hall on the left.
Hesitantly looking behind me for Artemis, I slowly crept toward the door. When I got to it, I carefully placed my hand on the knob and turned it slowly, looking around the hall for any sign of life. I opened the door slowly and carefully to make no noise. I slid in between the door frame and the door itself and then shut it slowly and carefully, the same way I had opened it.
As soon as the door was shut it was pitch black. I was turned facing the door and if I wasn't touching it I wouldn't know it was there. It didn't smell like rotting bodies and the floor wasn't as cold or felt like it is cement, so that's a good sign. It smelled like a really expensive cologne, is pretty mush the only way to describe it.
I started feeling the left side of the door for a light switch. I couldn't find it and started to freak out. So I started to feel with both hands rapidly and found it within five seconds and flipped it on.
It's a bedroom. I'm in a simple yet expensive, huge room. On the wall across from the door, me, was a big window that took up half the wall. So yeah, it was huge but there was a long black curtain pulled across the window. It went from the ceiling to the floor. The walls were a deep blood red with a smooth black ceiling. There is a black desk under the window with a nice laptop and some pencils and other stuff on it. the chair is made of comfy looking black leather. On the right of me was a massive king sized bed with black bedding on a platform about a foot higher than the floor. A little bit in front of the platform is a large black leather couch with a coffee table in front of it. On the left wall in front of the couch, left of me, was a massive flat screen TV.
Something, I don't know what, clicked in my head and I immediately felt the fear creep back up my spine. I also felt curiosity burning in me. I looked around me again, looking at every crook and cranny, with different eyes as well. Yup, this is definitely Artemis' room, it fits him perfectly.
I took a few tentative steps forward, nibbling my bottom lip, still looking around the place. I looked at the left wall again and found a door a few feet before the TV. I slowly creaped up on the door and slowly opened it up. It was a bathroom, with the same layout as the bedroom. Black walls with red accents along with red towels and stainless steal sinks. A huge glass shower was in the middle of the wall to the right. It had two nobs and shower heads coming from all different directions. Right across from me was a huge jet bathtub. There was even a step to help you get into it. This is like my dream room but only with different colors.
I walked back into the room and over to the bed, it looks so soft. Right when I was about to step onto the platform I heard footsteps in the hallway. Fear, shock and utter stupidness washed over me. I ran to the light switch, clicked it off then ran and slid under the bed. I just barely got my foot under the bed when he walked in.
His expensive black dress shoes and the bottom of his slacks could be seen as he stepped into the room and shut the door. He was mumbling furiously under his breath when he turned around and took a step forward he froze. Him inhaling a deep breath could be heard throughout the room. His legs began to rotate like he was looking around the room which, he probably was. Then his feet began to go towards the bathroom and disappear behind the door.
He reappeared at the entrance of the bathroom and inhaled again. This time though, a slight humming almost moaning sound was made like he was smelling a delicious home made meal.
He can smell me, he is smelling my scent. Of course he freaking can he IS a vampire after all. I pull my legs toward me as quietly and as much as I can to get my feet away from the end of the bed.
"Ahhhh!" I screamed when I was being yanked out from underneath the bed by a cold hand attached to my ankle. I didn't even hear or see him move across the room. When I was fully out from the bed and could see him, he had a smirk planted on his face with a scary, dark look in his eyes.
"Don't worry darling, I won't kill you but your going to wish I had." The smirk disappeared and full on furry took hold of the features on his face.
He climbed up on me and straddled my waste. My already black eye ignited with pain when he punched it in the same spot as earlier. The next punch landed on my lip and caused it to split and the irony taste of blood to enter my mouth. I brought my arms up and over my face, protecting it from his lethal punches. It wasn't long before I could feel my arms bruising and potentially breaking.
He got up on one knee and grabbed the back of my hair pulling us into a standing position and punched me in the stomach. I tried to curl and into myself but his hand in my hair stopped me from doing so, so I wrapped my arms around my stomach. He pushed me to the side, letting go of my hair but then my back collided with the foot-board of his bed.
The whole time I did not talk but I did make a couple noises and I hate myself for doing so.
I was picked up rather harshly and thrown on top of his bed. Straddling me again Artemis then yanked off my clothing. No. Squirming and fighting back with every ounce of energy I had left in me I tried my best to stop him but I was too weak.
I kept going in and out of darkness but in the end I gave in to it, missing the last sentence that he whispered in my ear.
