I woke up on the ground next to the whipping post. Laying in dirt soaked with my blood that has now turned cold, all I can feel is screaming with pain. Sitting up, well trying to, I can feel all the dried blood begin to crack like dried paint.

Biting my lip hard enough to draw blood I stand up and begin the journey to my room.

It must've taken me at least fifteen minutes to get to my room, the longest journey yet. Grabbing a tattered shirt and sweats I got in the shower and cleaned my back and body of blood and dirt.

I wrapped a towel around my body and searched through the small cabinet under the sink the for medical box I hocked from the storage room.

I took out the white alcohol body, taking off my towel I slid onto the sink and unscrewed the cap. I turned my head and moved my hair so I could see my back poured the bottle in a line at the top so it could run down all of the open wounds.

I repeated the a couple more times then dampened a piece of gauze and wrapped it to my back over the cuts. Then I cleaned my now bleeding lip.

Sliding off of the counter I dried off the rest of my body and put on my clothes.

I was walking into my room when an ear-piercing scream pierced through the house, echoing off the walls. Rene.

Ignoring the pain scorching throughout my body I ran to where the screaming were coming from, the foyer.

A man, the same man that picks up Emma and Ella from Trance High was pulling a fighting Rene out of the front door.

She made eye contact with me and started screaming, "Nevaeh! Nevaeh, help me! Don't let them take me!"

I ran towards her, I was ready to fight, two feet more and I'll have her.

I was yanked suddenly backwards, arms around my body, keeping me from her, letting her go farther out of the house and towards the mans black SUV.

"Let go!" I began to thrash around, kicking and hitting where ever I could on Artemis to get him off.

I turned in his arms and kneed him where the sun doesn't shine and took off running again.

Being a vampire he was quick to get up and tackle me to the ground, where I had just gotten off the front steps.

With a rough yank I was turned over, "Rene!" The door to the vehicle shut leaving me in the hands of a pissed off leach.

"You're going to wish you had never done that."

Spitting in his face I growled back, "Get off of me Leach."

A punch in the face made blood come shooting into my mouth, gagging me in the process.

I was turned to my side, his knee pressed against the fresh whip marks on my back and my legs locked to where I was twisted like a DNA strand.

I heard a click, felt a tug on my left pant leg and then a long ripping sound was heard, wrapping my leg with the cool breeze of the wind.

He put the cold sharp tip of his blade to my outer ankle, and began his lecture, digging it in and bringing it up farther the side of my leg the whole time he talked. "I will not be disrespected like that in my house. Azer offered me a large sum for Rene and I took it. Rene wasn't much to me, she didn't do much and she had recently began to disrespect me as well. He has a use for her, much like what I do with you. Now, be a good little girl and start respecting me again or else I'll use your biggest fears against you." He did a quick jab of his knife before he pulled it out a couple inches below my waste. "Go clean yourself up, you have dance tomorrow, it's going to be a rough one."

He strutted away towards his house, whistling to the night as he went. My leg was numb by the time he reached my knee. I stood up and limped back to my room, trying not to break my ankle, and wrapped up my leg like I did to my back earlier.

I heard crunching of gravel and looked out the window, Artemis was rolling down the drive to Satan knows where. I don't have to wait after all.

I lifted up the bottom left corner of my mattress and dug under it until my hand cam in contact with my ticket out of here. Pocketing the paper, I walked out of the room and to Artemis' office where the only phone in the house was.

Dialing the number it only took one ring before someone answered. "This is the Immortal Police what is your emergency?"

"My name is Nevaeh, I was kidnapped by a vampire almost 2 months ago. I don't know all of the laws y'all have but I know he has broken quite a few of them."

    "What is his name dear?"

    "Artemis."

    "What does he look like?"

"He has light brown hair, red eyes, muscular, and he has a daughter named Ariel."

"How many of you are there?"

"There were 4 of us including an elderly lady that has been here for who knows how long but one of us were sold today."

There was shuffling and frantic typing on the other line before her voice came back more quicker than before. "We will trace the phone you are calling, just stay on the phone for 10 more seconds and we will have your location."

"OK." There was graveling crunching in the driveway again, signalling his return and then five seconds later the front door opened and slammed.

    "3 more seconds."

My eyes searched around the room for something to clean, they landed on a few books fallen on the floor.

"OK, we have your location we will be there as soon as we can."

    "Thank you."

Hearing footsteps coming down the hall I gently put the phone down and dashed for the books. I had three in my arms and was standing when the door flew open.

    "What are you doing?"

    "Cleaning your office sir."

"I did not ask you to. The only time you clean it is if I told you. Now, get out!"

I dropped the books and scurried out and to my room. It was about 3 o'clock in the morning and dance practice was tomorrow.

The ache in my body becoming more prominent I dropped on my bed and immediately fell to sleep.
