The alarm was buzzing way to soon. Smacking the alarm off, I forced myself to get up, and go to the bathroom and switch my bandages, and clothing.

Walking down the stairs Linda and Artemis were down there, not even looking at them I headed out the door and to the jeep. All though I could feel there eyes on me, more of my legs and the sweats that covered them and the shirt that covered my torso.

For the first time since I've been here Linda went straight for the front seat, meaning I got the back seat for once.

I looked out the window the whole way to the gym, once there I walked out heading to the locker room, like a robot.

Looking straight ahead I waited for the door to open and the sound of Mrs. Whitley's voice before my vision focused and I looked at the first person today.

"Sorry ladies that I wasn't here yesterday. I was in the hospital all day for medical emergencies. It wasn't until about 5 in the afternoon that they figured out what was wrong with me, I'm pregnant!" Cheering went up in the locker room for the first time ever, 'congrats' were being thrown around, quieting us down she continued. "Thank you ladies. Well since of course it is to early to know we don't know the gender. Anyway about practice yesterday, I am sorry of the way my husband was towards you all and I am sorry for the performance to come. Today you girls are going to practice your routines, the boys should be finished putting up the poles now so come on and let's get this over with."

Everyone began filing out while I took my time standing and taking off the sweats and shirt revealing my bandaged leg and back. It's strange because I don't think I have ever had bandages on my body in practice before.

I could feel Mrs. Whitley's eyes on me while I walked past her, and the girls, boys, and Mr. Whitley's as I walked to my spot.

Once there I looked up in time to catch the looked Mrs. Whitley shared with her husband. Mrs. Whitley was telling the truth, the poles are in place.

"OK girls, you are going to come up with your dance on your own if you need it I will come and help you." She turned on the music and we turned to our poles and started thinking and doing.

Staring at the pole I began to think, I am going to be saved today, might as well throw everything I got into it. It's not like I'm going to be performing it anyway.

With that circling throughout my head I got into position and a front walk over, my legs wrapping around the pole and hoisted myself up.

By the time dance was over I had my whole routine worked out and memorized to perfection. Mrs. Whitley was shocked and pleased with all we got accomplished. I don't know how far the other girls had gotten but I know how far I had gotten.

Since everyone already saw my bandages, including the 'Masters' that all appeared a couple minutes befor practice was over, I'm not going to put on my shirt and sweats.

Grabbing my bag and putting my clothing in it, I felt a hand on my shoulder. I turned around cautiously and was face to face with Rene.

"Thank God! I thought you were a goner. Are you OK?"
