Beep. Beep. Beep. I breathed in slowly then started to open my eyes, well try to. I could feel the crust sealing my eyes shut and keeping me from see where I was.
I tried to move my arm to bring it up and wipe the crust off but a searing pain flew up it, then spreading through out the rest of my body. Biting my lip I noticed they were cracked dry. How long have I been asleep?
Trying to open my eyes again it took me a few times but I could eventually feel the crust give-way and I could open them. Blinded by the lights and white color of the walls I blinked a few times then lifted my arm, which the pain had subsided a couple of minutes ago, and wiped off the excess crust.
I looked around and could immediately tell I was in a hospital room. A single bed room with a small TV mounted on the wall across the bed, a sink and cupboard were next to in with a window to my left. A heart machine was to my right along with everything else needed for a doctor and nurse. A chair and table adorned the space to my left in front of the window.
The door opened up and a girl nurse walked in looking at files. She looked up at me and her eyes lit up a little. "Oh good, your up. I'll go get the doctor." With that said she walked out the door like the little ray of joy I know she was like.
Soon after Sunshine left a male doctor came in with a smile on his face. "You are up, good." He looked over my monitor, file, and everything else before looking at me again. "How are you feeling Nevaeh?"
My voice cracked as I spoke, "I've been better."
"Good. Well, getting right to business, you have a fractured wrist and ankle along with a few broken ribs, vaginal tearing and multiple bruises and cuts along your body. Your whip marks will take one to two months to heal. Everything else will be almost as good as new by the time you leave, but you are going to be staying here for a while. You gave us a scare when you arrived, you were out for two week."
My eyebrows, even those had a dull ache in them, went up to my hairline with all of this news. But really the only thing I can think of is I'm safe.
"The binding on your wrist and ankle will come off in at least another week. In order to prevent re-tearing your vagina stay in bed and we will give you a cold compress that you can put on it, it'll be another week or two before that heals. Everything else is mostly healed so no need to worry about the bruising and scratches. We will change the bandages on your back once a day."
Well that seems easy enough I really just want to go to bed.
"Oh, you won't have to talk to the cops until you get out. Unfortunately since your case is so extreme you are going to have to talk to people with a higher position. Until then catch up on sleep and TV."
I nodded my head, then he left.
So much to take in, at least I can rest but I don't want to think about everything that has happened, not until I have to.
I grabbed the remote off the table which was kind of more difficult than I thought it would be with a bound wrist. Soon enough I had it and Spongebob Squarepants filled the room.
Five episodes of Spongebob later Mrs. Sunshine came back in. "Time to change your bandaging." She set the stuff she brought with her at the edge of the bed and helped me sit up.
Since my top half was wrapped I didn't have to wear a hospital dress. Instead I had shorts and cheap underwear on which was pretty cool. Getting the bandages changed and alcohol put on the whip marks was not so cool.
"My shift ends at seven, so you have an hour before you are stuck with the next nurse. She's not as talkative and is kind of rude but no need to worry. Although you're not going to be getting a whole lot of talking action until I come back tomorrow morning."
