Walking into school felt a bit different today
I knew Evelyn didn't hate me anymore, and I didn't either.
My friends. Kim. Amanda. Emily. James? Sure why not.
Those people meant and still mean a lot to me.
Fake friends. Ef them.
...............
It was lunch and I sat next to Amanda in my usual seat. I felt happier. Better. Free.
There was no Enrique. No people to bother me that much anymore.
"I'm hungry" Kim said.
"You just ate" Me, Amanda and Emily laughed.
Yep. Better.
.........
Stopping my bike with a quick swift motion, I moved it to my side. Walking to the pier has never been that hard for me, but me and my dad used to come here all the time before he died.
It was the afternoon and the sun was starting to set.
The bench.
Where we carved our initials.
The bridge on top of us.
Where our memories won't stop at.
The fish.
Where we spent our time and money for bread to give them.
But best thing about the pier, was that I always came here with him. It was...our secret place.
Reaching the end of it, I stretched my arms in front of on top of the railing.
Thoughts.
Can kill you or not. Mine didn't this time.
Thinking about all about the tough life I have and have had lived through,I knew I will get by.
I knew that things were going to get better.
Even if I didn't end up with Kevin. Or any other boy I fell in love with. Cough.
I'm going to be alright...
.................................................................................................
I have finished my very first book. Yay.
