Our Adventure Continues || Joel Pimentel

Chapter 42

Throwing everything on the floor, breaking some glass, I need to find that letter. I called one of Zandra's closest friends to help me look for it.

"Okay I'll be right there." She said then hanged up.

I went down and grabbed the bucket of ice cream, a spoon and some random movies for Angelina. "Here Angelina. Now don't finish all the ice cream, I want some also. Don't worry Angel. I know we'll get Zandra home safe." I kissed her cheek and pulled her into a hug.

"You promise?"

"I promise."

"What if she doesn't make it?" She whispered.

"Well my life is all ruined. I will be depressed most of the time because Zandra, well, shes the love of my life. She is the only one who could deal with my bs and accept and forgives me for my mistakes. She makes me the happiest whenever I'm with her, and whenever I'm not with her, I miss her very second of the day. But I promise that I will try my hardest to get out of the band and take care of you and Maggie. I will do anything to keep you guys happy and safe."

The door bell rang right after I finish speaking. "I'll be right back." I said. I got up from her bed and head down stairs. I open the door and greeted her with a hug.

"Are you going to cry?" She asked. I nod yes while my head is on her left shoulder. "Let it out." I started to cry my eyes. I know its not very manly of me to cry every time but I'm worried about her. I'm scared.

"Is Angelina and Maggie okay?" She asked. I pulled away from the hug and wiped my tears away.

"Yea, they're fine. Angelina is emotionally hurt but she's okay."

"We should start looking for the letter. We have no time to loose."

"Thank you Sol."

"Anytime Joel. Now come on." She then wiped some tears that I didn't realized that were still on my face.

We headed upstairs to Zandra's room. We looked through everywhere. It's now been at least 3 hours and nothing. I head over to Angelina's room. "Angelina please tell me where the letter is at!" I yelled at her.

"I told you that its somewhere where her clothes are!" She yelled back.

"Why won't you tell me!" I said frustrated.

"Joel don't yell at her! If she has told you everything she knows, that's all you need!" Sol said jumping into our conversation.

"I know she knows where it's at! She just won't tell me!" I said now grabbing both of Sol's arms and shaking her.

"Joel let go of me." She said calmly, "We'll find it but just let go because you're hiring me." She said closing her eyes. I noticed I am grabbing her to hard. I let go and went to Zandra's room.

I run my hand through my hair and started destroying everything in sight. Before I could ruin some more, two strong arms wrapped around me and pulled me down with them. "Ah what the fuck!" I yelled.

"Joel you are getting out of control!" I heard Yoandri saying.

"Let go of me!"

"No not until you're calm!" He said.

"There there. I'm calm." He the slowly let go and I got up. He then also get up. All of a sudden I punched him right in the jaw. He then tackled me down but we ended falling on Zandra's bed.

"Joel! What the hell are you doing? Look at yourself! You're becoming to a monster! Do you think this is the way Zandra wants you to be reacting this way? You need to be strong for Zandra and Maggie! Get your shit together Joel!" He yelled. He's right I do need to stay strong for the both of them, I am becoming someone I really hate.

"I found it." Sol said while carrying Maggie. I pushed Yoandri out of my way and went over to Sol. I unfolded the paper and began to read it.

        Joel,
If you're reading this then that means you found this letter, hopefully you're not too late. Anyways I know exactly where they are going to take me. Or where I am already at. It is the same place where they kept you but its more harder to find now since now there's houses that look just like this one around. But I'm not sure if that is where I'll be for sure. If not please don't stop looking for me. I'll try my best to set Maggie free and try to escape...

I look up at Sol just staring at her. "I know where she's at." I said. I grabbed my keys and quickly head down to my car. But I then realized this might be the last time I might ever see Maggie and Angelina. I ran to Angel's room.

Once I got there, I hugged her very tightly. "Angelina I know where Zandra is at. I want to say one last goodbye before I leave." I said trying so hard not to cry. She didn't say anything but instead she hugged me tightly then kissed my cheek.

"Please come back." She whispered.

"I promise." I kissed her head and then went to Zandra's room where Maggie, Sol and Yoandri are in. "Came to say goodbye one last time just in case." I first hugged Sol. "Please take care of them." I said.

"I promise Joel."

"If I don't come back, I want you and Yoandri to take care of them. Once Angelina's mom comes back, I want you and Yoandri to have custody of Maggie." She looked down at Maggie and nodded.

"Thank you." She whispered. I then walked to Yoandri and he started shaking his head.

"Don't say goodbye to me, I'm coming with you." I weakly smiled then grabbed Maggie from Sol's arms.

"Maggie, I'm going to go save mommy. I am saying goodbye because I don't know if I will ever come back. If I don't, just know I will always love you. Always. And I want you to be an amazing, smart, and strong girl like your mother. I love you Maggie." I then give her a lot of little kisses. A tear dropped fell down on her cheek. That's when I realized I was crying. Fuck what's wrong with me today. I wiped it away and have her one last kiss. I looked up at Yoandri and said "Let's go."

Right before I left Angelina stopped me. "Here, so you won't forget Maggie and I." She gave me a pink elephant and a drawing of her and Maggie. I smiled and kissed her head.

I then left without saying anything. Zandra, I am coming for you.
