Kya
"Kya. Get up. We just landed," I hear a soft voice say.
I open my sleepy eyes to see Katara above me. I sit up from the soft saddle and jump off Appa with Katara.
It looks like we've stopped at a island with mountains all around it. The trees are bare and there's snow on the ground.
"Aang we just made a pit stop yesterday, shouldn't we get a little more flying done before we make camp?" Sokka asks blankly.
Aang doesn't answer. His eyes are looking at the water a few yards away from us.
"He's right. At this rate, we won't get to the North Pole until spring," Katara agrees.
"But Appas tired, aren't you boy?" Aang explains innocently.
I look at Appa. He looks well rested. Aang must be up to something.
Aang gives Appa a look and he immediately fake yawns.
"Yeah, that was real convincing. Still, hard to argue with a ten-ton magical monster," Sokka remarks moving a few feet from Appa.
"Look!" Aang yells excitedly pointing at the water and running towards the shore.
I look at the water and a fish the size of Appa's hopping out of the water .
"Thats why we are here, elephant koi, and I'm going to ride it. Katara, you've got to watch me," Aang says putting his staff down on the sand and taking his shawl off.
Aang starts running into the water and goes under .
"Cold!" Aang screams suddenly with his head popping out of the water.
I smile. This boy is crazy.
Katara, Sokka, and I run towards the shore to watch Aang try and ride the Elephant Koi.
Aang starts swimming into deep water where the Elephant koi is .He goes under the water again and when he comes up he's on top of the huge fish.
The fish keeps going under the water then coming back up with Aang on top of it!
Aang waves at us while laughing happily.
"He looks pretty good out there," I smile.
"Are you kidding? The fish is doing all the work," Sokka answers annoyed pointing to the fish.
Me and Katara rolls our eyes. How have I've lived this long with my brother?
As we look at Aang a large dark shadow appears in the water behind him.
"There's something in the water!" Sokka try's warning Aang.
"Get out of there!" Katara yelled to Aang.
He doesn't hear either of them. Shit... Spirits help him!
Aang looks at us with confusen and try's to mouth something but suddenly he loses his grip of the fish and goes flying into the water.
My stomach instantly drops, me and Katara run to the edge of the water right when Aang comes up but the same shadow appears behind him but this time with a fin amerging.
"Get out of there!" I yelled terrified.
Aang notices the shadow in the water. He slowly turns around and screams like a little girl as he sees the fin. Aang starts swimming as fast as he can to shore but the huge fin's right behind him. He used some of his bending to go faster only to crash into Sokka when he reached shore. The two boys sat up and Aang was out of the breath probably with him racing from swimming so fast.
