It's been along day, first trying to make an alliance with stubborn woman, then loosing my brother to the clutches of the woman, then getting a date with the same woman.
I fall asleep at my desk but when a pang of sadness runs through my heart I wake up immediately.
"Raven." I say aloud. I stand and turn towards the window at the same time before jumping through the closed window and shifting mid air before my pas even touch the ground.
I run my wolf form high in energy with out having gone for a run in such a long time. But my mind is only one thing my mate. I run though the woods getting to her pack house and when I d I skid to a stop and pace at the bottom of the building.
I shift back into a human and look for a clothing stash when I find one I slip on the given shorts and head to the house. I see a couple sitting on the couch just inside the doors and when they see me I growl. "Where's your alpha?"
"Upstairs fifth floor." The woman says and I bark out a 'thank you' on the way to the elevator. I get in and slam my hand on the fifth button and after the doors close I begin to rise to the floor. It does go fast enough for my liking but it will do and once the doors open I am out and sniffing out my mate. I find her sitting on my brothers lap and staring at a boy in the doorway.
"Get off him!" I command and she falls off Jay in surprise.
"How did you get in here?" she asks.
"Walked in the front door." I say.
"Not you." She tells me before turning to the boy. "You! Where the fuck have you been? No calls! No letters! No anything!" she starts trying to punch the guys but he holds up a pillow. "How could you do this to me?! I lost everything including you!"
Raven stops trying to hit him and awkwardly falls to the floor. The boy sits beside her and hugs her to her chest.
"Ray, I had to leave. I'm not as strong as you. I couldn't even save Ju-Ju. I watched them tear her apart I couldn't, I couldn't, I can't." He says a thick voice showing his emotion.
"You left me, there is no family reunion for you! Know why? They're dead because of you! You're a coward. You betrayed me, you betrayed us. Mom and dad would be so disappointed." Raven says, her voice hard. "Get away from me."
I crouch down and pick her up.
"Which way to her room?" I ask my brother.
"Across the hall." Jay directs. I walk out the door and head across the hall to her door on it is a big 'do not enter' sign on it. I open the door to find a light blue room. The bed has a dark blue cover and the walls have music notes covering the walls some of the music notes are roses. Pictures and paintings scatter the walls. Items of clothes scatter the floor and bed. I walk over to the bed and set her down before throwing some clothes on the floor.
I lay her on the bed and I can hear soft snores coming from her a few seconds later. I pull the covers over her shoulders and as I leave her big room I notice a weird stand in her corner beside a chair.
I quickly leave her room and head home. I leave Jay there, I trust Raven enough, plus can't annoy her.
I head to bed even though it's early.
In the morning I wake up early, around 4:00. I head out of my bed room to the room across the hall. This room is my art room where I keep all my paintings and drawings, aside from being an alpha I am an artist, well a self- proclaimed one anyway.
I pick up the brush I left yesterday and continue to paint. When I first started to paint I did't know what it was but my hand kept moving and eventually the strokes became a face that came my mate. I didn't know who I was painting till yesterday when I saw her beautiful face and know that I saw her I can tell her eyes are the wrong shade of blue in my painting.
I grab my phone from my pocket and see that I have a voice mail. I click on it and start to listen.
"Hey Tobias it's Raven. Did you know your brother sleeps a lot? Like fuck, he slept when he first got here for like three hours and then after wards and then I found him sleeping when I woke up three hours ago. Do you not let him sleep over there? By the way my brother seems really weird around him, Jay I mean, Chase seems really weird around Jay. I caught him watching your brother seep. Weird." She makes some raspberry noises and then some other strange noises. "Ya know Tobs, I am honestly terrified of you. Okay not you but like the very idea of you, of us. I've always been alone since the attack and I'm scared that if you meet me, not just the concept of us getting close and then something happening where you leave." She sighs. "I really should hang up, but see it's so much easier to talk with people in general like this. I probably won't remember this when I wake up. That's what I get for drinking I guess. Well... Bye Tobs." the phone call ends and I set the phone down on my stool.
I just shake my head and go back to painting forgetting about the music I was going to play.
