Start of the mission

PART THIRTEEN
The First Mission
Inojin was over at our house, he said that it would help with the team's dynamics if he spent more time with us, so he comes by the house a lot, he's almost like a new roommate, he even spends most nights here. It's kind of a problem, because he got his mom's eyes, but his dad's social skills. He doesn't have too many boundaries. For instance, one night Mitsuki and I were watching a movie together, and Inojin sat down in between us and started eating my popcorn. But other than Inojin things between Mitsuki and I have only gotten stronger, I love him more each and every day, I'm happy that we're on the same squad, it makes work a lot easier to deal with. Tomorrow we're going on our first A rank mission, we have to infiltrate a society of cultists that are kidnapping people from the hidden cloud, village. We're being sent in as a sign of diplomacy. We all have to be on high alert because this mission could end up with one or more of us losing our lives. I couldn't sleep last night, not a wink, I was too distracted by the mission. I shook Mitsuki awake, he woke up suddenly, which wasn't like him, he looked at me, he looked terrified, the the first time I've seen him scared. He hugged me, we sat in bed hugging for a few minutes, all of a sudden Inojin burst into the room, he sat at the foot of the bed with a bag of cereal, he was eating straight from the bag, he said, "what's up? Why do you two look so freaked out?" " we're just nervous about the mission," I said to him, Mitsuki buried his head in my chest to hide his face from Inojin. "What's wrong with Mitsuki?" This kinda made me snap. "GET OUT WE'LL MEET YOU IN THE KITCHEN, JUST LEAVE US ALONE WHEN WE'RE IN OUR ROOM!" Inojin looked a little confused, and then he got up, shrugged and walked away. I held Mitsuki closer to me, and he looked up at me and said. "We should go apologize to Inojin.
